<strong>Background:</strong> Many policy makers deliberating on comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights services need reliable evidence to make choices that benefit women, adolescents, chil... <strong>Background:</strong> Many policy makers deliberating on comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights services need reliable evidence to make choices that benefit women, adolescents, children and the wider society. While universal health coverage discourse provides an opportunity to expand access through evidence based interventions, many gaps exist. Research prioritization has proved to be very helpful in identifying relevant areas especially in constrained resource settings. The purpose of this paper is to present the results of the World Health Organization Africa Region research prioritization for sexual and reproductive health and rights. These priorities hope to guide the region for the next three years. <strong>Methods: </strong>We used the Child Health and Nutrition Research Initiative approach to identify priority questions among many potential areas for research prioritization on sexual and reproductive health and rights. The implementation process was organized in three phases. The first phase involved sending out an online survey to various experts with experience in sexual and reproductive health rights. These questions were received by a technical team from World Health Organization headquarters for review. 634 questions were identified for potential research and grouped into 12 themes. The second phase involved experts who reviewed the questions. The team merged questions with duplications, removed the questions that were out of scope and finally refined the wordings. In the final phase, experts worked in groups to score and rank top ten priority questions for each of the 12 thematic areas. <strong>Results: </strong>A list of 120 priority questions for sexual and reproductive health and rights were prioritized by 67 participants drawn from 16 organizations. Most of the priority research questions (45%) focused on the theme of gender-based violence, 35% prioritized services in sexual and reproductive health and rights in humanitarian settings while 15% prioritized preventing unsafe 展开更多

南充市初中生家庭早餐的现状调查 认领

目的了解初中生家庭早餐食用情况、身体营养水平、照顾者类型的现状,分析学生早餐改善计划的干预切入点。方法随机抽取南充市城区由家庭提供早餐的初中生192名,依托微信平台,照顾者拍摄食物图片,学生本人发送文字说明,连续收集3周早餐... 目的了解初中生家庭早餐食用情况、身体营养水平、照顾者类型的现状,分析学生早餐改善计划的干预切入点。方法随机抽取南充市城区由家庭提供早餐的初中生192名,依托微信平台,照顾者拍摄食物图片,学生本人发送文字说明,连续收集3周早餐情况。结果家庭早餐总体食用频率较高,为95.83%,早餐食物种类以谷薯类、鱼禽肉蛋水产品类为主,而大豆坚果奶类、蔬菜类、水果类摄入不足,身体营养水平异常率为35.94%,消瘦、超重、肥胖率各占15.10%、16.67%、4.17%;照顾者类型主要为母亲,占68.23%;用二元Logistic回归分析发现不同照顾者类型、早餐次数对学生身体营养水平有影响因素(P值均<0.05),照顾者为母亲、高早餐次数为学生身体营养水平的保护因素。结论南充市城区初中生家庭早餐质量水平不容乐观,且受照顾者类型的影响较大,提示从照顾者角度对学生家庭早餐进行干预是一个新方向。 展开更多

Effective upstream interventions specifically aimed at reducing dietary sodium intake include the implementation of comprehensive nutrition standards that restrict the amount of sodium contain<span>ed in foods available for purchase. <span>The aim of this work was</span> to identify sought-after foods that did not meet the Philadelphia Nutrition Standards’ sodium limits and reformulate those foods to be standards-compliant</span> and consumer-acceptable. <b>Subject and Methods:</b> Two foods were reformulated for <span>compliancy</span> with the Philadelphia Nutrition Standards’ sodium limits and consumer acceptability: the hoagie roll and soft pretzel. Reformulation included sensory testing and engaging potential manufacturing partners to investigate products’ commercial potential. <b>Results: </b>While hoagie roll reformulation led to a local company manufacturing and selling the reformulated product, soft pr<span>etzel reformulation stalled due to lack of consumer acceptability of the reformulated product. The use of organic waste for the preparation of seedling substrates is an important environmental and economic option. In this perspective, substrates using biochar emerges as an alternative for seedling production due to their favorable physical and chemical characteristics. The present study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of doses of poultry litter biochar as a substrate constituent for the production and quality of the seedlings. The work was conducted in a semi protected environment, belonging to the Federal University of Campina Grande—UFCG. The statistical design used was completely randomized in a 6 × 2 factorial scheme, consisting of 6 doses of biochar (0, 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 t<span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8729;</span>ha<sup><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8722;</span>1</sup>) and two varieties of melon (Yellow and Hales Best Jumbo) with 4 repetitions totaling 48 experimental units. The fresh and dry plant phytomass mass (aerial, roots and total), root length and the quality of seedlings were evaluated. It was concluded that the addition of poultry litter biochar to the substrate was beneficial, promoting an increase in the analyzed seedling variables, being the ideal dose for good development of melon seedlings 12 t<span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8729;</span>ha<sup><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8722;</span>1</sup>. The Yellow variety presented a better response than the Hales Best Jumbo to the charcoal application. Considering the advantages of the use of poultry litter biochar on the substrate composition, found in the present study, its utilization constitutes a viable alternative for the development of melon seedlings and for the environmental disposal of the poultry litter. 展开更多

But also in the industrialised countries, vegetarian nutrition is becoming more and more popular for various reasons. Many vegetarian parents also want a suitable diet for their children. But are restrictive diets beneficial or potentially harmful in certain situations, such as a predisposition to severe atopy? Are vegetarian diets equally suitable for pregnant women, nursing mothers, infants, children, and adolescents? What critical nutrients should parents, children, pediatricians, and nutritionists pay particular attention to? This article is focused on questions like these and discusses scientifically based concepts of nutrition. Main findings are that exposure to a variety of food antigens during early life may play a role in the development of healthy eating habits and that restrictive diets have not been found in studies to prevent allergic disease. 展开更多

A study on feasibility of Farming Systems for Nutrition (FSN) approach was undertaken from 2013 to 2018 in a few villages of Koraput district, Odisha state and Wardha district, Maharashtra state in India. Interventions were done to increase crop diversity, intercropping of pulses and cereals, promotion of seasonal vegetables and fruits along </span></span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">with </span></span></span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">nutrition awareness. The endline survey showed increase in production diversity leading to improved household dietary diversity. This paper demonstrates the impact of FSN interventions on household nutrient intake. The results show that the intake of nutrients like protein, vitamin C, iron and calcium increased significantly in Koraput and all the nutrients including energy and vitamin A increased significantly in Wardha. The evidence shows that Farming System for Nutrition approach improves individual nutrient intake which in the long run can address the problem of undernutrition. 展开更多

目的探讨终末期肾病(ESRD)合并心力衰竭患者维持性血液透析(HD)微炎症状态与营养状况、心功能的相关性。方法回顾性分析2018年2月~2020年4月江西省抚州市第一人民医院收治的60例ESRD患者的临床资料,根据治疗方式不同将其分为两组,行维持... 目的探讨终末期肾病(ESRD)合并心力衰竭患者维持性血液透析(HD)微炎症状态与营养状况、心功能的相关性。方法回顾性分析2018年2月~2020年4月江西省抚州市第一人民医院收治的60例ESRD患者的临床资料,根据治疗方式不同将其分为两组,行维持性HD的30例患者作为HD组,未行透析治疗的30例患者作为非透析组。选取同期于江西省抚州市第一人民医院进行健康体检的30例健康人群作为对照组。根据美国纽约心脏病学会心功能分级法(NYHA)分级标准,将60例ESRD患者分为Ⅱ级20例,Ⅲ级23例,Ⅳ级17例。采集各组的空腹静脉血,测定其C反应蛋白(CRP)、血红蛋白(Hb)、清蛋白(ALB)、尿素氮(BUN)、血肌酐(SCr)、B型钠尿肽(BNP)、血清铁(SF)等,并采用心脏彩超对三组的左心室射血分数(LVEF)进行测定。采用Pearson相关系数法分析ESRD患者CRP与营养、心功能之间的相关性。结果非透析组、HD组的CRP水平高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);HD组的CRP水平高于非透析组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。非透析组和HD组的CRP水平与SF、SCr水平无相关性(r=0.16、0.24,P>0.05)。ESRD患者的CRP水平与ALB、Hb呈负相关(r=-0.50、-0.36,P<0.05)。Ⅱ级组的CRP、BNP水平低于Ⅲ、Ⅳ级组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);Ⅲ级组的CRP、BNP水平低于Ⅳ级组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。Ⅱ级组的LVEF水平高于Ⅲ级组、Ⅳ级组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);Ⅲ级组的LVEF水平高于Ⅳ级组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。ESRD患者的CRP水平与LVEF呈负相关(r=-0.36,P<0.05),与血浆BNP呈正相关(r=0.58,P<0.05)。结论ESRD合并心力衰竭患者大多呈现为微炎症状态,并且此状态与营养不良、心功能等之间有紧密关联。 展开更多

通过检索并总结对妊娠糖尿病(gestational diabetes mellitus,GDM)患者进行营养干预从而改善患者代谢和母婴结局的相关文献,归纳目前关于营养干预GDM患者主流策略的研究进展。由于GDM患病率以及母婴并发症发生率升高,且单纯地通过胰岛... 通过检索并总结对妊娠糖尿病(gestational diabetes mellitus,GDM)患者进行营养干预从而改善患者代谢和母婴结局的相关文献,归纳目前关于营养干预GDM患者主流策略的研究进展。由于GDM患病率以及母婴并发症发生率升高,且单纯地通过胰岛素和口服降糖药物的效果和远期副作用有待进一步的论证,目前GDM的治疗正在趋于非药物化。越来越多的证据表明,对GDM患者或GDM高风险妇女的早期发现、早期监测和全程营养干预可以极大地改善母婴结局。通过检索近十年涉及妊娠糖尿病、营养干预、母婴结局的相关文献,综合分析后,得出结论:科学的营养干预、血糖监测和个性化健康教育相结合,使患者代谢水平和母婴结局显著改善。今后在这一领域的干预研究应侧重于系统规范地对GDM患者进行早诊断和早干预,并给出个性化干预方案。 展开更多

Nitrogen(N), potassium(K), and phosphorus(P) are essential macronutrients for plant growth and development, and their availability affects crop yield. Compared with N, the relatively low availability of K and P in soils limits crop production and thus threatens food security and agricultural sustainability. Improvement of plant nutrient utilization efficiency provides a potential route to overcome the effects of K and P deficiencies. Investigation of the molecular mechanisms underlying how plants sense, absorb, transport, and use K and P is an important prerequisite to improve crop nutrient utilization efficiency. In this review, we summarize current understanding of K and P transport and signaling in plants, mainly taking Arabidopsis thaliana and rice(Oryza sativa) as examples. 【目的】探明不同成熟度对‘红地球’葡萄氨基酸营养价值的影响。【方法】以不同成熟度(盛花期后88~123 d)的‘红地球’葡萄为试材,测定果实氨基酸含量。同时,以鸡蛋蛋白质为标准蛋白,WHO/FAO氨基酸参考模式为评价标准,进行氨基酸营养... 【目的】探明不同成熟度对‘红地球’葡萄氨基酸营养价值的影响。【方法】以不同成熟度(盛花期后88~123 d)的‘红地球’葡萄为试材,测定果实氨基酸含量。同时,以鸡蛋蛋白质为标准蛋白,WHO/FAO氨基酸参考模式为评价标准,进行氨基酸营养价值评估。【结果】‘红地球’葡萄至少包含18种氨基酸,包括8种必需氨基酸、2种儿童必需氨基酸。氨基酸含量随着采摘期变化而变化,其中必需氨基酸、非必需氨基酸、儿童必需氨基酸、药用氨基酸、支链氨基酸、增香与着色氨基酸、伯胺基氨基酸、特殊功效氨基酸含量(w,后同)分别为557.3~659.7、1 176.3~1 690.8、326.8~703.8、1 130.0~1 644.1、231.7~285.3、926.1~1 404.8、1 126.0~1 609.0、1 032.9~1 510.7 mg·kg^-1,组间差异显著(p <0.05),在完全成熟期Ⅰ达到峰值;精氨酸、天门冬氨酸和谷氨酸等风味氨基酸含量与其味觉阈值的比值分别介于2.62~6.31、4.50~5.47和4.64~6.09,随着采摘期的延长呈先升后降变化趋势。氨基酸评分、化学评分和氨基酸比值系数分依次为11.33~14.07、18.32~4.43、49.70~57.04。苯丙氨酸等8种氨基酸含量相对不足,赖氨酸和苏氨酸含量相对过剩。【结论】不同成熟度对‘红地球’葡萄氨基酸含量及其营养价值影响显著。 展开更多

Background:To examine the association between alcohol drinking and short sleep duration among Chinese adults.Methods:Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria,28,167 records of 15,074 adults longitudinal data were obtained from the China Health and Nutrition Survey for the period from 2004 to 2011.A multilevel logistic regression model was employed to explore the association between alcohol drinking and sleep duration.Results:Compared with nondrinking participants,a high drinking frequency was positively correlated with a short sleep duration in both the males(odds ratio(OR)=1.33,95%confidence interval(CI)=1.20–1.48,P<0.001)and females(OR=1.60,95%CI=1.18–2.18,P=0.003)before the covariates were adjusted.After adjusting for age,residence area,education level,marital status,smoking,coffee consumption,tea consumption,and activity level,this association remained significant in the males(OR=1.31,95%CI=1.17–1.46,P<0.001)but not in the females(OR=1.16,95%CI=0.85–1.59,P=0.340).Conclusion:The present results suggest that a high drinking frequency was positively correlated with a short sleep duration in male population.Comprehensive measures therefore need to be implemented to improve sleep duration,especially to increase awareness of the dangers of drinking alcohol. 展开更多

目的了解我国老年住院患者营养研究热点,讨论老年精神病膳食护理的发展方向;方法以"老年"及"营养不良"、"营养状态"、"营养评估"、"营养风险"等为关键词,从中国知网、维普文献数据... 目的了解我国老年住院患者营养研究热点,讨论老年精神病膳食护理的发展方向;方法以"老年"及"营养不良"、"营养状态"、"营养评估"、"营养风险"等为关键词,从中国知网、维普文献数据库和万方医学文献数据库中提取数据,采取双人"背对背"的方式收集"研究领域"、"基金支持"、"发表时间"和"省份"维度信息后进行多维度计量分析。结果整体上,老年住院患者营养相关研究呈现"研究领域越趋精准"、"基金支持比例不断增高"、"研究成果逐年增多"的良好势头,但亦存在"不同省份之间多寡悬殊"、"不同学科之间冷热显著"、"交叉学科研究贫乏"的突出问题;与整体相比,精神科相关研究发展速度较慢,使用生化检查类指标较多,使用量表类和体格检查类指标较少。结论老年患者营养研究逐渐得到关注,但精神科相关研究仍相当贫乏,多学科联合、多地区参与、多重视临床需求是老年精神科营养研究可行的发展方向。 展开更多

Introduction:Milk is a nutritious,white or slightly yellowish liquid,which is a biological secretion of mammalian breasts,including the human species,intended for feeding their babies.Purpose:The purpose of this review is to examine the nutritional value of milk and its usefulness in human nutrition.Material and Methods:The study was conducted based on reviewing Greek and international scientific studies on the subject found in Greek and international databases such as“PubMed”,“Scopus”and“Medline”,through the search engine“Google Scholar”and the Hellenic Academic Libraries Association(HEAL-Link).The exclusion criterion for the articles was the language,except for Greek and English.Mostly,only articles and studies accessible to authors were used.Results:Cow’s milk consumption is vital for children,because it is considered one of the most important factors in the structure and development of the skeleton and maintenance of Intestinal microbiota(intestinal flora)aiding digestive processes.Additionally,it promotes the absorption of calcium.As regards the milk consumption by older adults,it meets the needs of the body in the best way because its nutrients are in digestible form.One liter(1 L)of milk provides 700 calories and consuming 2 L of milk per day neutralizes the feeling of hunger from the body,while achieving a satisfactory weight loss diet.Conclusions:Milk,therefore,is an invaluable and irreplaceable liquid that offers considerable long-term benefits to both people of all ages and society. 展开更多
