In this work, the deposition process features of a copper coating on stainless steel substrate, using the pulse vacuum arc spraying method were researched. A continuous layer of copper was deposited on a stainless steel substrate, and a high degree of coating adhesion to the substrate was demonstrated. The thickness of coating using application time was calculated, and the surface unevenness was estimated. Inside the coating layer substrate material elements were observed, that could appear as a result of simultaneously plasma spraying on the surface of the substrate. The feature of this method was discovered, that surface plasma plays a significant role in the deposition process. Finally, it was shown that the device with a pulsed arc could effectively be used in industry, since it is possible to change the layer thickness in the range of hundreds of microns by varying the deposition time. 展开更多

卫星在轨运行时,航天器表面材料与周围的等离子体环境相互作用,会积累电荷产生表面充电效应,严重时将导致静电放电从而影响航天器的运行.SMILE卫星运行在太阳同步轨道和高倾角大椭圆轨道,在轨运行将遭遇多种等离子体环境,产生的表面充... 卫星在轨运行时,航天器表面材料与周围的等离子体环境相互作用,会积累电荷产生表面充电效应,严重时将导致静电放电从而影响航天器的运行.SMILE卫星运行在太阳同步轨道和高倾角大椭圆轨道,在轨运行将遭遇多种等离子体环境,产生的表面充电效应将影响卫星在轨安全和科学数据的获取.本文采用spacecraft plasma interaction system软件仿真,建立了复杂精细的三维模型,评估了卫星在磁尾瓣等离子体、太阳风等离子体及地球静止轨道极端恶劣等离子体不同环境中的表面充电风险.仿真结果显示,不同环境下的表面充电电位有差异,但是不会影响科学载荷的数据获取.通过对表面电流的分析发现,二次电子发射在各种等离子体环境中都对表面充电有很大的影响.通过分析阴影区材料表面充电电流,计算得到的结果能够补充氧化铟锡材料二次电子发射系数实验曲线.在光照下,光电子发射在表面充电中占据统治地位. 展开更多

In order to further improve the propulsion performance of pulsed plasma thrusters for space micro propulsion,a novel laser ablation pulsed plasma thruster is proposed,which separated the laser ablation and electromagnetic acceleration.Optical emission spectroscopy is utilized to investigate the plasma characteristics in the thruster.The spectral lines at different times,positions and discharge intensities are experimentally recorded,and the plasma characteristics in the discharge channel are concluded through analyzing the variation of spectral lines.With the discharge energy of 24 J,laser energy of 0.6 J and the use of aluminum propellant,the specific impulse and thrust efficiency reach 6808 s and 70.6%,respectively. 展开更多

To investigate the interaction of dusty plasma with magnetized plasmas at divertor plasma simulator,radial profiles of plasma density(ne)and electron temperature were measured in terms of plasma discharge currents and magnetic flux intensity by using a fast scanning probes system with triple tips.Dusty plasma with dusts(a generation rate of 3μg s-1 and a size of 1–10μm)was produced via interactions between a high-power laser beam and a full tungsten target.As ne increases,the scale of the effects of dusty plasma injection on magnetized plasmas was decreased.Also,the duration of transient fluctuation was reduced.For numerical estimation of plasma density perturbation due to dusty plasma injection,the result was 10%at a core region of the magnetized plasma with ne of(2–5)×10^11 cm^-3 at steady state condition. 展开更多

The plasma seed processor was used to treat maize seeds (No.2-Zhunuo), and the effects of plasma treatment of the maize seeds on the biological properties and yield were studied by different doses (250 mA - 2000 mA). The results showed that the effect of plasma treatment on the biological characters of maize was different, and the plant characters and yield of maize in the eight groups of plasma treatment were significantly higher than that of untreated (CK), especially the treatment current (dose) of 1500 mA, 1250 mA, and 750 mA, respectively, which had significant changes in the effect of maize plant traits. From the yield point of view, the top two are: plasma dose 1500 mA, and 1250 mA. The plasma doses of 750 mA, 1000 mA, and 1500 mA were selected from the fruit number of maize. The disease resistance of treated maize is also better than that of untreated maize (CK). In a word, the yield, plant traits, and disease resistance of maize seeds can be improved to different extent by different doses of plasma. 展开更多

A non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure argon(Ar)plasma excited by microsecond pulse is studied experimentally by laser scattering and optical emission spectroscopy(OES),and theoretically by collisional-radiative(CR)model.More specifically,the electron temperature and electron density of plasma are obtained directly by the laser Thomson scattering,the gas temperature is measured by laser Raman scattering,the optical emissions of excited Ar states of plasma are measured by OES.The laser scattering results show that the electron temperature is about 1 eV which is similar to that excited by 60 Hz AC power,but the gas temperature is as low as 300 K compared to about 700 K excited by 60 Hz AC power.It is shown that the microsecond pulsed power supply,rather than nanosecond ones,is short enough to reduce the gas temperature of atmospheric pressure plasma to near room temperature.The electron temperature and electron density are also obtained by CR model based on OES,and find that the intensities of the optical emission intensity lines of 727.41,811.73,841.08,842.83,852.44 and 912.86 nm of Ar can be used to characterize the behavior of electron density and electron temperature,it is very useful to quickly estimate the activity of the atmospheric pressure Ar plasma in many applications. 展开更多

Purpose: Growth factors (GFs) and neurotrophins can decelerate retinal degeneration. This study aimed to investigate the safety, efficacy and durability of subtenon injections of autologous platelet-rich plasma (aPRP) which is a rich source of GFs in retinitis pigmentosa (RP) patients. Methods: 154 eyes of 77 RP patients with various degrees of narrowed visual field were investigated in this study. Each patient received three injections with 4-week intervals and followed for at least 12 months. The examinations and the tests were obtained before the injection, 1 month after the third injection and every 3 months during the study. The primary aim was to evaluate the effects of aPRP on visual acuity (VA) and visual functions, the second aim was to estimate the duration of the therapy effect and the need for additional aPRP injection. Results: Median age of the 77 RP patients was 35.2 ± 13.9 years. All of the eyes received 3 monthly bilateral subtenon aPRP injections. Of these patients 26 received an additional one, 12 received additional two and 1 patient received additional 3 injections with 3-month interval. There were no significant ocular or systemic side effects. The mean baseline VA was 0.22 ± 0.18 Snellen lines. It improved to 0.31 ± 0.19 following three aPRP injections, which was statistically significant. At the end of the study period, the mean VA was 0.27 ± 0.22 Snellen lines. Conclusion: The subtenon injection of aPRP might be an effective therapy and might have a positive influence in the preservation of visual functions and visual acuity of RP patients. 展开更多

Laser-induced discharge plasmas(LDPs) have the potential to be inspection and metrology sources in extreme ultraviolet(EUV) lithography. An LDP EUV source was developed to avoid tin electrode erosion in which a tin pool was used as a cathode. A CO2 pulse laser was focused on the liquid tin target surface, and then a breakdown occurred in a very short time. The voltage-current characteristics of the discharge oscillated, lasting for several microseconds, and an RLC fitting model was used to obtain the inductance and resistance. An intensified chargecoupled device(ICCD) camera was used to investigate the dynamics of LDP, which can explain the formation of a discharge channel. The EUV spectra of laser-induced liquid tin discharge plasma were detected by a grazing incident ultraviolet spectrometer, compared with a laser-produced tin droplet plasma EUV spectrum. To explain the EUV spectrum difference of laser-induced liquid tin discharge plasma and laser-produced tin droplet plasma,the collision radiation(CR) model combined with COWAN code was used to fit the experimental EUV spectrum, which can estimate the electron temperature and density of the plasma. 展开更多

We study the dynamics of single electron in an inhomogeneous cylindrical plasma channel during the direct acceleration by linearly polarized chirped laser pulse.By adjusting the parameters of the chirped laser pulse and the plasma channel,we obtain the energy gain,trajectory,dephasing rate and unstable threshold of electron oscillation in the channel.The influences of the chirped factor and inhomogeneous plasma density distribution on the electron dynamics are discussed in depth.We find that the nonlinearly chirped laser pulse and the inhomogeneous plasma channel have strong coupled influence on the electron dynamics.The electron energy gain can be enhanced,the instability threshold of the electron oscillation can be lowered,and the acceleration length can be shortened by chirped laser,while the inhomogeneity of the plasma channel can reduce the amplitude of the chirped laser. 展开更多

With the aim of controlling the problem of fine particles in the flue gas of lead-zinc smelting,a low-temperature plasma-electrocoagulation and electric bag composite dedusting experimental platform was designed by combining electrocoagulation and electric bag composite dust removal technology based on the research of low-temperature plasma technology.Firstly,the properties of fine particles in flue gas from lead-zinc smelting were analyzed,and the effects of input voltage,filter wind speed,dust concentration,and pulse-jet ash-cleaning cycle on the dust collection efficiency of the integrated device were studied.Then,the energy efficiency of the integrated technology was analyzed,and the control mechanism of the fine particles was revealed.The experimental results show that the integrated technology of low-temperature plasma-electrocoagulation and electric bag composite dust removal achieves a fine particle removal efficiency of more than 99.99%and the energy consumption per unit mass of the dust is only 0.008 k W·h/g.The integrated technology has broad application prospects and farreaching practical significance for the lead-zinc smelting industry to achieve ultra-low emission targets for flue gas and achieve energy-saving and emission reduction effects. 展开更多

For this, we consider an ellipsoidal flow and use an ansatz for temperature profile function which accounts for time and the three dimensional space evolution of the quark-gluon plas-ma. We have calculated the survival probability separately as the func-tion of transverse and longitudinal momentum. We have shown that previous calculations are special cases of this model. 展开更多

Quantitative behavior of non-equilibrium excitation by direct electron impact in low-temperature dry reforming of methane was investigated by integrated studies of experimental validation and kinetic modeling.A plasma chemistry kinetic mechanism incorporating the reactions involving vibrational excitation of CH4,CO2,H2 and CO molecules as well as the low temperature He/CH4/CO2 conversion pathways was developed and validated.The calculation results showed that at lower E/N values(<150 Td)large population of energized electrons generated in a He/CH4/CO2 discharge resulted in an intensification of vibrational excitation.Despite the large generation of vibration,the vibrationally excited molecules in a 0.5/0.25/0.25 of He/CH4/CO2 discharge mixture were easy to relax,due to the strong coupling of the vibration of different molecules in a gas mixture.The results showed that the moderate levels of the vibrational excitation,such as CO2(v10,11,...,18)and CO(v9,10),presented most efficient in the stimulation of species generation including CO,CH2 O,CH3 OH,C2 H4 and C2 H6.Specifically,under conditions of E/N of 108 Td,14.9%of CO formation was estimated from the recombination of CO2(v)with CH3 and H,CO2(v)+CH3→CH3 O+CO,CO2(v)+H→CO+OH.Also,4.8%of C2 H4 formation was from the recombination reaction CH4(v)+CH→C2 H4+H.These results highlight the strong roles of vibrational states in a complex plasma chemistry system. 展开更多

The energy loss during jet quenching due to the existence of Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP) is calculated by Optical Glaube Monte Carlo model with data collected by ATLAS Collaboration using the LHC detector. An energy loss formula for this situation was modeled and took the form . The nuclear modification factor, RAA, for jets in a 208Pb + 208Pb nucleus collision with rapidity interval of ∣у∣=2.8 and the initial transverse momentum of 50 GeV ≤ pT ≤ 1000 GeV, are compared with various data plots produced by ATLAS Collaboration. RAA results are plotted in different centrality bins, which are defined by the distribution of number of participating nucleons Npart. The RAA value was found to slowly increase at lower transverse momenta and flatten out at higher transverse momenta. The model’s theoretical calculation results turned out to be similar to the plots produced by the ATLAS Collaboration using data from the LHC with small differences for higher systematic uncertainty events. 展开更多

This manuscript provides a comparison of the Hypersphere World-Universe Model (WUM) with the prevailing Big Bang Model (BBM) of the Standard Cosmology. The performed analysis of BBM shows that the Four Pillars of the Standard Cosmology are model-dependent and not strong enough to support the model. The angular momentum problem is one of the most critical problems in BBM. Standard Cosmology cannot explain how Galaxies and Extra Solar systems obtained their substantial orbital and rotational angular momenta, and why the orbital momentum of Jupiter is considerably larger than the rotational momentum of the Sun. WUM is the only cosmological model in existence that is consistent with the Law of Conservation of Angular Momentum. To be consistent with this Fundamental Law, WUM discusses in detail the Beginning of the World. The Model introduces Dark Epoch (spanning from the Beginning of the World for 0.4 billion years) when only Dark Matter Particles (DMPs) existed, and Luminous Epoch (ever since for 13.8 billion years). Big Bang discussed in Standard Cosmology is, in our view, transition from Dark Epoch to Luminous Epoch due to Rotational Fission of Overspinning Dark Matter (DM) Supercluster’s Cores. WUM envisions Matter carried from the Universe into the World from the fourth spatial dimension by DMPs. Ordinary Matter is a byproduct of DM annihilation. WUM solves a number of physical problems in contemporary Cosmology and Astrophysics through DMPs and their interactions: Angular Momentum problem in birth and subsequent evolution of Galaxies and Extrasolar systems—how do they obtain it;Fermi Bubbles—two large structures in gamma-rays and X-rays above and below Galactic center;Diversity of Gravitationally-Rounded Objects in Solar system;some problems in Solar and Geophysics [1]. WUM reveals Inter-Connectivity of Primary Cosmological Parameters and calculates their values, which are in good agreement with the latest results of their measurements. 展开更多

Based on the inter-connectivity of these parameters, WUM solved the Missing Baryon problem and predicted the values of the following Cosmological parameters: gravitation G, concentration of Intergalactic plasma, relative energy density of protons in the Medium, and the minimum energy of photons, which were experimentally confirmed in 2015-2018. Between 2013 and 2018, the relative standard uncertainty of G measurements decreased x6. The set of values obtained by WUM was recommended for consideration in CODATA Recommended Values of the Fundamental Physical Constants 2014. 展开更多

Pulsed plasma thrusters(PPTs)are an attractive form of micro-thrusters due to advantages such as their compactness and lightweight design compared to other electric propulsion systems.Experimental investigations on their plasma properties are beneficial in clarifying the complex process of plasma evolution during the micro-second pulse discharge of a PPT.In this work,the multi-dimensional evolutions of the light intensity of the PPT plasma with wavelength,time,and position were identified.The plasma pressure was obtained using an iterative process with composition calculations.The results show that significant ion recombination occurred in the discharge channel since the line intensities of CII,CIII,CIV,and FII decreased and those of CI and FI increased as the plasma moved downstream.At the center of the discharge channel,the electron temperature and electron density were in the order of 10000 K and 1017 cm-3,respectively.These had maximum values of 13750 K and 2.3?×?1017 cm-3 and the maximum temperature occurred during the first half-cycle while the maximum number density was measured during the second half-cycle.The estimated plasma pressure was in the order of 105 Pa and exhibited a maximum value of 2.69?×?105 Pa. 展开更多
