In this paper,we review the research progress in development geography since the 20th century,focusing on its connotation and theory,fields,methods,and development trends.Specifically,we systematically review the research and applications of development geography,comprising fields such as the convergence of underdeveloped countries and regions,and the convergence of the process of improving the quality of life in developed countries and regions.Then,based on an analysis of research progress in development geography in foreign countries,we examine the development conditions and disciplinary advantages of development geography in China.Further,we highlight that future development geography research in China should focus on the latest international academic research and China’s national macro-strategic needs.Future research in development geography should be guided by the theory of sustainable development,the core of which is to improve sustainable livelihood capacity and regional green development levels in underdeveloped regions.This core includes the construction of industrial policy and development geography theory,as well as an interdisciplinary integrated research system.The focus must be placed on researching the spatial patterns,diffusion characteristics,and the convergence mechanism of regional development.Such a focus will facilitate exploration of the regulatory policies and scientific paths that serve regional economic construction and industrial development. 展开更多

China is also addressing the imbalance between economic development and ecological environmental protection through innovation development of green technology and continuously strives for high-quality economic development. Exploring the integrated development mode of green technology innovation has great theoretical significance and practical value for enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises, promoting the transformation and transfer of green technologies, spurring the development of green “One Belt and One Road”, and driving the economic development and reform in quality, efficiency, and forces. This article sorts out the core elements and influencing factors of constructing a green technology innovation and integration development model, expounds the innovation ecological framework that supports the development of green industries from the four dimensions of industrialization, marketization, informatization, and internationalization, and builds an intermediary that promotes integrated development. Evaluating Obesity Index among Children with Developmental Disorders 认领

Obesity is likely to cause lifestyle-related... The prevalence of obesity not only among adults but also among children has been increasing globally. Furthermore, obese children reportedly go on to be obese in adulthood. Obesity is likely to cause lifestyle-related diseases not only in able-bodied individuals but also in disabled children. Specific cognitive behavior observed in disabled children often hinders the provision of lifestyle guidance, such as nutritional and physical exercise instructions. To prevent such situations, early identification of obesity is required to improve lifestyle habits through diet and exercise in disabled children. This study included 285 children with developmental disorders. To assess a childhood obesity index, three obesity-related parameters were compared: the degree of obesity in school health, which has been used to evaluate the health of school children in Japan;abdominal circumference, which is useful for predicting visceral fat obesity;and the waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), which reflects visceral fat and physique. The abdominal circumference was significantly dependent on age. The degree of obesity and WHtR did not show a significant association with age. WHtR was significantly associated with the degree of obesity in school health. The WHtR is easily calculated as compared to the degree of index in school health which needs rather complicated calculations depending on age and age-specific coefficients. The study findings suggest that WHtR might be an easy-to-use obesity index comparable to the degree of obesity in school health in children with developmental disorders. 展开更多

Variation in quality may be attributed to poor oocytes, semen, stress, inflammation, and potential immune system dysregulation. OmniGen-AF<sup>&reg</sup> (OG) feeding supports immune system function and animal health. Our laboratory recently reported lower percent degenerate embryos recovered and increased plasma progesterone in beef cattle donors fed OG during superovulation. <i></span><i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">In vitro</span></i><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></i> development of embryos recovered from donor cows fed OG prior to collection is presented here. Embryos were recovered from 24 beef cows assigned to four treatment groups: 0 g OG/hd/d and 200 mg Folltropin<sup>&reg</sup>-V (FSH) (0/200);0 g OG/hd/d and 400 mg FSH (0/400), 56 g OG/hd/d, 200 mg FSH (56/200) and 56 g OG/hd/d and 400 mg FSH (56/400). Good to excellent quality early blastocysts were cultured for 8 d. and development through hatching, embryonic volume and plasminogen activator (PA) production were quantified. The complete protocol was repeated 90 - 120 d later as Replicate 2. Under the impact of modern life, the traditional culture of Taiwan’s indigenous tribes is not only affected, because the traditional life is not easy and employment is difficult, which also causes the outflow of tribal population. Therefore, after the establishment of the Taiwan Council of indigenous people (TCIP), tourism development has been listed as an important policy, and it wants to use tourism development to improve the lives of indigenous people and enhance the ability of tribal economic development. The purpose of this study is to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of TCIP in developing tribal hot spring demonstration areas in indigenous areas. This study adopts the method of case study to investigate by means of document analysis, field interview and observation. The results of SWOT analysis show that: 1) Advantages: the indigenous tribes are rich in natural resources and have unique cultural characteristics. 2) Weakness: when indigenous people invest in hot spring industry, they will face difficulties in obtaining development funds, lack of land use and hot spring management talents. 3) Opportunities: Because of the prevailing leisure culture in Taiwan, coupled with the relevant laws and policies and plans of the indigenous people, it is guaranteed that the indigenous people can participate in the development plan of the hot spring demonstration area. 4) Threats: The development of the existing hot springs in the indigenous villages and towns is mostly invested by the Han people, so it is difficult for the indigenous people to compete with them. 随着全球范围粗犷式的经济社会发展,空气污染问题日益严重,对公共健康造成极大威胁。基于新开发的动态面板门槛模型和面板向量自回归模型,在充分考虑异质性特征的前提下,探究了经济社会发展和雾霾污染对全球166个国家居民健康期望寿命... 随着全球范围粗犷式的经济社会发展,空气污染问题日益严重,对公共健康造成极大威胁。基于新开发的动态面板门槛模型和面板向量自回归模型,在充分考虑异质性特征的前提下,探究了经济社会发展和雾霾污染对全球166个国家居民健康期望寿命的综合影响。研究结果表明,社会发展、雾霾污染和健康期望寿命存在动态互动效应,社会发展有利于提高公共健康水平,而雾霾污染整体上对健康期望寿命有负效应。此外,社会经济发展和雾霾污染对健康期望寿命的影响是非线性的,各因素的平均边际效应在不同情况下有所不同,而且各因素间也存在间接影响。主要的表现是,在发展速度缓慢和发展水平比较低的国家,居民的公共健康更容易受到雾霾污染的负面影响,而在高速发展和发展水平较高的国家这种负面影响会减小;更重要的发现是,在雾霾污染严重的国家,社会经济发展不仅不会提高居民的健康期望寿命,反而有负的平均边际效应,发展的积极影响被严重削弱。本文的研究结果不仅为相关标准的制定提供了参考,也对权衡经济社会发展和空气污染的政策的制定提供了一定的启示。 展开更多
