The Association of Visceral Adiposity Index with Insulin Resistance in Adults with Prediabetes 认领

This study is aimed to determine the association of visceral adiposity index (VAI) with insulin resistance in adults with prediabetes. This cross-sectional study was done among 117 adults with newly detected prediabetes [m/f;23/94;mean ± SD: Age 36.30 ± 9.99 years, BMI 28.89 ± 4.35 kg/m<sup>2</sup>] based on American Diabetes Association 2018 criteria and 141 matched healthy controls [m/f: 28/113;mean ± SD: 35.30 ± 6.88 years, BMI 25.03 ± 4.58]. Waist circumference, body mass index, fasting triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, fasting blood glucose and insulin were measured in each group to calculate VAI and homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR). People with prediabetes had significantly higher median value of VAI {3.08 (2.26) vs. 1.86 (2.31);p < 0.001} with higher frequency of high VAI (>1) (98.3% vs. 85.8%;p < 0.001) than the control population. HOMA-IR level was significantly higher in prediabetes with high VAI (cut-off of 2.64) than control with normal VAI [2.78 (2.22, 4.15) vs. 2.20 (1.53, 3.36);p = 0.002]. VAI was positively correlated with HOMA-IR in females with prediabetes (r = 0.299, p = 0.003). VAI had predictive association with prediabetes [OR (95% CI: 9.504 (2.173, 41.576);p = 0.03] and high insulin resistance (HOMA-IR ≥ 2.6) in females with prediabetes [OR (95% CI) = 3.50 (1.476, 8.297);p = 0.004] only. It could satisfactorily discriminate prediabetes in both sexes (male: AUC = 0.767, p = 0.001;female: AUC = 0.641, p < 0.001) and high insulin resistance in females with prediabetes (AUC = 0.641;p = 0.019) only. So, VAI was associated with prediabetes and insulin resistance only in females with prediabetes.</span> </div> 展开更多

The adaptability of the central nervous system has been revealed in several model systems.Of particular interest to central nervous system-injured individuals is the ability for neural components to be modified for regain of function.In both types of neurotrauma,traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury,the primary parasympathetic control to the gastrointestinal tract,the vagus nerve,remains anatomically intact.However,individuals with traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury are highly susceptible to gastrointestinal dysfunctions.Such gastrointestinal dysfunctions attribute to higher morbidity and mortality following traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury.While the vagal efferent output remains capable of eliciting motor responses following injury,evidence suggests impairment of the vagal afferents.Since sensory input drives motor output,this review will discuss the normal and altered anatomy and physiology of the gastrointestinal vagal afferents to better understand the contributions of vagal afferent plasticity following neurotrauma. 展开更多

However, the anatomical and physiological mechanisms are obscure.Here, we provided direct evidence of axon bifurcation in primary C-nociceptive neurons that innervate both the skin and a visceral organ. Double-labeled dorsal root ganglion(DRG) neurons and Evans blue extravasation were observed in 3 types of chemically-induced visceral inflammation(colitis, urocystitis, and acute gastritis) rat models.In the colitis model, mechanical hypersensitivity and spontaneous activity were recorded in vivo from doublelabeled C-nociceptive neurons in S1 or L6 DRGs. These neurons showed significantly enhanced responses to both somatic stimulation and colorectal distension. Our findings suggest that the branching of C-nociceptor axons contribute to cutaneous hypersensitivity in visceral inflammation. Cutaneous hypersensitivity on certain locations of the body surface might serve as an indicator of pathological conditions in the corresponding visceral organ. 展开更多

Sedentary lifestyles promote adipose tissue accumulation that generates systemic inflammation and oxidative damage. Physical activity induces cardiovascular fitness, increases muscle mass, and healthy blood glucose regulation, while reducing visceral fat, triglycerides and low-density lipoproteins. It is theoretically possible to develop a long-term multi-exercise regimen for health management and enhancement. Pragmatically, time and career restraints, individual choices, genetic factors, or demoralization due to the draconian commitment involved in weight loss, have rendered over a billion of individuals obese, or overweight, burdened by excess lipids, insulin resistance, elevated glucose levels, and inflammation, that foster a number of medical conditions including diabetes. Strenuous overtraining has ensued adverse effects, including an upsurge of proinflammatory cytokines, and hyperglycemia. We implemented an one-month long innovative method with 20 diabetic and prediabetic patients. Results demonstrated a statistically significant reduction of both fasting and PP blood glucose. Fasting and PP insulin reached optimal levels. There was a substantial decline in dyslipidemia, reflecting a reverse relationship of elevated HDL versus triglycerides descending towards the normal range. The notable visceral fat reduction was validated by sonography reports that indicated no evidence of fatty liver in seven patients previously diagnosed with hepatic steatosis. These findings have important implications in improving the health status of obese diabetic and prediabetic individuals, by helping them jumpstart an active lifestyle, or by serving as an exercise alternative to reduce lipids, blood glucose levels and insulin resistance. 展开更多

The clinical presentation depends on the size and site of the aneurysm. We report the case of a 33-year-old man with recurrent episodes of obstructive jaundice and weight loss. Computed tomography with contrast revealed scattered hepatic arterial aneurysms with two other aneurysms along the course of the left gastro-duo</span><span style="font-family:;" "=""><span style="font-family:Verdana;">denal and superior mesenteric artery. Investigations to determine the etiology were negative, but the patient had a history of smoking and substance abuse. </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Angiography revealed an occluded feeding artery. The patient developed</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> multiorgan failure, leading to cardiac arrest and died. The purpose of this clinical trial was to delineate some of the negative consequences of high BMI on health and explore the possibility of a solution. We analysed the blood test results of nine overweight adults with sedentary lifestyles, and an average BMI of 32.23. Results revealed a statistically significant reduction of visceral adipose tissue, very-low density lipoprotein (VLDL), and triglycerides. Testosterone, leptin, IGF-1 and Free T3 increased within the normal range, juxtaposed by cortisol and ghrelin that declined, but without dipping into abnormality. These findings have important implications during the COVID-19 pandemic, where optimal immunity is deemed necessary in limiting susceptibility to the virus. Recent research indicates that weight gain often escalates vulnerability to respiratory track disturbances, cardiovascular disease (CVD) and diabetes. Consequently, pre-existing conditions increase COVID-19 mortality rates. CVD and diabetes emerge out of hormonal imbalances that involve Free T3, leptin, ghrelin, testosterone, and cortisol. Physical training is decidedly the most acclaimed solution, yet, the least implemented one, due to procrastination, or demoralization after investing constant exhaustive effort with no immediately visible physical change. COVID-19 confinement exacerbates the tendency for inactivity, and promotes stress-eating behaviours. Moreover, strenuous exercise, necessary for visceral fat reduction, results in a negative cortisol/testosterone relationship that provokes caloric consumption and inflammation. Offering an alternative to exercise that effectively improves health, boosts metabolism, and controls appetite, may serve as a proactive, and preventive method that can safeguard health. 展开更多

Nav1.7 channels are mainly distributed in the peripheral nervous system.Blockade of Nav1.7 channels with small-molecule inhibitors in humans might provide pain relief without affecting the central nervous system.Based on the facts that many reported Nav1.7-selective inhibitors contain aryl sulfonamide fragments,as well as a tricyclic antidepressant,maprotiline,has been found to inhibit Nav1.7 channels,we designed and synthesized a series of compounds with ethanoanthracene and aryl sulfonamide moieties.Their inhibitory activity on sodium channels were detected with electrophysiological techniques.We found that compound 10o potently inhibited Nav1.7 channels stably expressed in HEK293 cells(IC50=0.64±0.30 nmol/L)and displayed a high Nav1.7/Nav1.5 selectivity.In mouse small-sized dorsal root ganglion neurons,compound 10o(10,100 nmol/L)dose-dependently decreased the sodium currents and dramatically suppressed depolarizing current-elicited neuronal discharge.Preliminary in vivo experiments showed that compound 10o possessed good analgesic activity:in a mouse visceral pain model,administration of compound 10o(30?100 mg/kg,i.p.)effectively and dose-dependently suppressed acetic acid-induced writhing. 展开更多

Objective:To identify the sandfly fauna and analyze ecology of sandfly vector(s)of visceral leishmaniasis in three districts of Somali Regional State,southeast Ethiopia.Methods:Sandflies were collected from four sampling habitats,including indoor,peri-domestic,farm field and mixed forest using light and sticky traps in July 2016,and February and April 2017 in Liben and Dawa zones in the Somali Regional State,southeastern Ethiopia.Results:In total,4367 sandfly specimens,belonging to 12 species(three Phlebotomus spp.and nine Sergentomyia spp.)were identified.Phlebotomus(P.)heischi,P.orientalis,and P.martini constituted 45.7%,31.1%,and 23.1%of the sandfly collection,respectively.There were significant differences in the median number of P.orientalis,and P.martini captured per CDC trap/night between the three sampling districts(P<0.05).In light trap capture,collection habitats had significant effects on the abundance of P.orientalis,and P.martini(P<0.05).More median numbers of P.orientalis,and P.martini species were collected in agricultural fields followed by mixed forest and peri-domestic habitats.P.orientalis and P.martini were caught more in outdoor than indoor habitats,suggesting exophilic behaviour.Conclusions:The study demonstrated that the presence of P.orientalis and P.martini are probable vectors of visceral leishmaniasis in this new focus.The findings of our study will improve the understanding of the dynamics of visceral leishmaniasis transmission and will facilitate the implementation of integrated disease control measures based on ecological knowledge of visceral leishmaniasis vector in Liben and Dawa zones and its surrounding regions. 展开更多

目的探索儿童颈动脉内中膜厚度(c IMT)与内脏脂肪面积(VFA)的关系,为预防心血管疾病提供参考依据。方法采用基于人群普查的方法,纳入北京市顺义区6所公立非寄宿制小学一年级学生1 914名,建立儿童生长与健康队列(PROC),并进行社会人口学... 目的探索儿童颈动脉内中膜厚度(c IMT)与内脏脂肪面积(VFA)的关系,为预防心血管疾病提供参考依据。方法采用基于人群普查的方法,纳入北京市顺义区6所公立非寄宿制小学一年级学生1 914名,建立儿童生长与健康队列(PROC),并进行社会人口学调查、身体测量、血液和尿液常规与生化指标的检测。采用单因素和多因素稳健线性回归分析c IMT与其他指标的关系。结果 1 711名被试中,正常、超重、肥胖儿童c IMT均值分别为(0.35±0.02)(0.36±0.02)(0.37±0.03) mm,差异有统计学意义(F=41.4,P<0.01);VFA中位数分别为16.2(13.6~19.3)、22.7(18.6~27.3)、51.5(33.9~73.0) cm2,差异有统计学意义(χ^2=854.5,P<0.01)。单因素稳健线性回归分析结果显示,总体模型校正年龄、性别后,c IMT与身高、收缩压(SBP)、舒张压(DBP)、高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(HDL-C)、VFA的相关均有统计学意义(P值均<0.05);与三酰甘油(TG)相关有边际统计学意义(P=0.055)。多因素稳健线性回归分析结果显示,在总体和男生模型中c IMT与VFA和SBP均呈正相关(β值分别为0.000 2,0.000 2;0.000 2,0.000 2,P值均<0.05),在女生模型中c IMT与VFA和TG均呈正相关(β值分别为0.000 2,0.006 2,P值均<0.05)。结论 VFA对c IMT的预测能力稳定,可利用VFA对儿童进行简化分类管理,进而开展有针对性的干预来早期预防成年期心血管疾病。 展开更多

Objective:To uncover the underlying mechanism of Hewei Jiangni granule(HWJNG)on non-erosive reflux disease(NERD)treatment by examining histological changes,gastrointestinal neurochemicals release and visceral hypersensitivity-related receptor expression in NERD model rats.Methods:A NERD rat model was established via a combination of basal sensitization and acid perfusion.HWJNG treatments at different doses were then administered.Pathological changes to tissues,mast cell(MC)activation,serum levels of esophageal visceral hypersensitivity-related neurochemicals,and transient receptor potential(TRP)receptor mRNA and protein levels were investigated.Results:Compared with the control group,the expression of tryptase in MCs,the changes of intercellular space,and the serum levels of substance P(SP),calcitonin gene-related peptides(CGRP)and proteinaseactivated receptor 2(PAR2)increased in the model group(all P<.05).The expression of TRP vanilloid 1(Trpv1)mRNA decreased in esophagus and dorsal root ganglia(DRG)of the model group(P=.030&P=.013),and the expression of TRP melastatin channel subfamily member 8(Trpm8)mRNA decreased in the esophagus of model group(P<.01).The level of esophageal TRPV1 protein increased in the model group(P<.01)and the level of TRPM8 protein decreased in esophagus and DRG of the model group(both P<.05).Compared with the model group,the serum levels of SP,CGRP,and PAR2 in the mediumdose HWJNG group showed significant decreases(all P<.05).The expression of Trpv1 mRNA in esophagus and DRG of the HWJNG groups and the Omeprazole group remarkably decreased(all P<.05),as was the expression of Trpm8 mRNA in esophagus of the HWJNG groups(all P<.05).Conclusion:HWJNG alleviated visceral hypersensitivity in NERD model rats by regulating TRP-mediated signaling.Our results indicate that HWJNG has potential as a therapeutic agent for NERD. 展开更多

Chronic visceral pain is one of the primary symptoms of patients with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS),which affects up to 15%of the population world-wide.The detailed mechanisms of visceral pain remain largely unclear.Our previous studies have shown that neonatal maternal deprivation(NMD)followed by adult multiple stress(AMS)advances the occurrence of visceral pain,likely due to enhanced norepinephrine(NE)-β2 adrenergic signaling.This study was designed to explore the roles of P2X3 receptors(P2X3Rs)in the chronic visceral pain induced by combined stress.Here,we showed that P2X3 Rs were co-expressed inβ2 adrenergic receptor(β2-AR)-positive dorsal root ganglion neurons and that NE significantly enhanced ATP-induced Ca2+signals.NMD and AMS not only significantly increased the protein expression of P2X3Rs,but also greatly enhanced the ATP-evoked current density,number of action potentials,and intracellular Ca2+concentration of colon-related DRG neurons.Intrathecal injection of the P2X3R inhibitor A317491 greatly attenuated the visceral pain and the ATP-induced Ca2+signals in NMD and AMS rats.Furthermore,theβ2-AR antagonist butoxamine significantly reversed the expression of P2X3Rs,the ATP-induced current density,and the number of action potentials of DRG neurons.Overall,our data demonstrate that NMD followed by AMS leads to P2X3R activation,which is most likely mediated by upregulation ofβ2 adrenergic signaling in primary sensory neurons,thus contributing to visceral hypersensitivity. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Visceral hypersensitivity and psychological performance are the main pathophysiological mechanisms of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).Previous studies have found that cholecystokinin(CCK)can enhance colon movement and that serotonin transporter(SERT)is a transmembrane transport protein with high affinity for 5-hydroxytryptamine,which can rapidly reuptake 5-hydroxytryptamine and then regulate its action time and intensity.We speculate that SERT and CCK might play a role in the pathogenesis of diarrheapredominant IBS(IBS-D)by affecting visceral sensitivity and the brain-gut axis.AIM To determine SERT and CCK levels in IBS-D patients diagnosed using Rome IV criteria and to analyze their associations with abdominal pain,visceral hypersensitivity and psychological performance.METHODS This study collected data from 40 patients with IBS-D at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital from September 2017 to April 2018 and 18 healthy controls.The severity of abdominal pain,visceral sensitivity and psychological performance were evaluated in IBS-D patients and healthy controls,the levels of SERT and CCK in plasma and colonic mucosa were evaluated,and the correlations between them were analyzed.RESULTS There were significant differences in the initial sensation threshold(31.00±8.41 mL vs 52.22±8.09 mL,P<0.001),defecating sensation threshold(51.75±13.57 mL vs 89.44±8.73 mL,P<0.001)and maximum tolerable threshold(97.25±23.64 mL vs 171.11±20.83 mL,P<0.001)between the two groups.IBS-D patients had more severe anxiety(7.78±2.62 vs 2.89±1.02,P<0.001)and depressive(6.38±2.43 vs 2.06±0.73,P<0.001)symptoms than healthy controls.Significant differences were also found in mucosal CCK(2.29±0.30 vs 1.66±0.17,P<0.001)and SERT(1.90±0.51 vs 3.03±0.23,P<0.001)between the two groups.There was a significant positive correlation between pain scores and mucosal CCK(r=0.96,0.93,0.94,P<0.001).Significant negative correlations between anxiety(r=-0.98;P<0.001),depression(r=-0.99;P<0.001),pain evaluation(r=-0.96,-0.93,-0.95,P<0.001)a 展开更多

BACKGROUND Gallbladder polyps(GBPs)are known to be associated with obesity and metabolic diseases.However,to date,the relationship between GBPs and abnormal body fat distribution,such as fatty liver,visceral obesity,or sarcopenia,has not yet been established.AIM To evaluate whether GBPs are associated with fatty liver,visceral obesity,or sarcopenia.METHODS We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of subjects who underwent various laboratory tests,body composition measurement with a non-invasive body composition analyzer,and abdominal ultrasonography during health checkups.A total of 1405 subjects with GBPs were compared with 2810 age-and sex-matched controls.RESULTS The mean age of the subjects was 46.8±11.7 years,and 63.8%were male.According to multiple logistic regression analysis,the presence of fatty liver[odds ratio(OR)1.413;95%confidence interval(CI)1.218-1.638;P<0.001]was an independent risk factor for GBP,together with low levels of alanine aminotransferase(OR 0.993;95%CI 0.989-0.996;P<0.001).Additionally,fatty liver showed both independent(OR 1.629;95%CI,1.335-1.988;P<0.001)and dosedependent(moderate to severe fatty liver;OR 2.137;95%CI,1.662-2.749;P<0.001)relationship with large GBPs(≥5 mm).The presence of sarcopenia and high visceral fat area were not significantly associated with GBPs.CONCLUSION Fatty liver was found to be closely associated with GBPs irrespective of sarcopenia and visceral obesity. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Distant metastasis,particularly visceral metastasis(VM),represents an important negative prognostic factor for prostate cancer(PCa)patients.However,due to the lower rate of occurrence of VM,studies on these patients are relatively rare.Consequently,studies focusing on prognostic factors associated with PCa patients with VM are highly desirable.AIM To investigate the prognostic factors for overall survival(OS)in PCa patients with lung,brain,and liver metastases,respectively,and evaluate the impact of site-specific and number-specific VM on OS.METHODS Data on PCa patients with VM were extracted from the Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results database between 2010 and 2015.Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were used to analyze the association between clinicopathological characteristics and survival of patients with different site-specific VM.Kaplan-Meier analyses and Log-rank tests were performed to analyze the differences among the groups.RESULTS A total of 1358 PCa patients with site-specific VM were identified from 2010 to 2015.Older age(>70 years)(P<0.001),higher stage(T3/T4)(P=0.004),and higher Gleason score(>8)(P<0.001)were found to be significant independent prognostic factors associated with poor OS in PCa patients with lung metastases.Higher stage(T3/T4)(P=0.047)was noted to be the only independent risk factor affecting OS in PCa patients with brain metastases.Older age(>70 years)(P=0.010)and higher Gleason score(>8)(P=0.001)were associated with shorter OS in PCa patients with liver metastases.PCa patients with isolated lung metastases exhibited significantly better survival outcomes compared with PCa patients with other single sites of VM(P<0.001).PCa patients with a single site of VM exhibited a superior OS compared with PCa patients with multiple sites of VM(P<0.001).CONCLUSION This is the first Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results-based study to determine prognostic factors affecting OS in PCa patients with different sitespecific VM.Clinical assessments of these cruc 展开更多

Objective:To forecast the visceral leishmaniasis cases using autoregress integrated moving average(ARIMA)and hybrid ARIMAEGARCH model,which offers a scientific basis to control visceral leishmaniasis spread in Kashgar Prefecture of Xinjiang,China.Methods:The data used in this paper are monthly visceral leishmaniasis cases in the Kashgar Prefecture of Xinjiang from 2004 to 2016.The sample data between 2004 and 2015 were used for the estimation to choose the best model and the sample data in 2016 were used for the forecast.Time series of visceral leishmaniasis started on 1 January 2004 and ended on 31 December 2016,consisting of 1790 observations reported in Kashgar Prefecture.Results:For Xinjiang,the total number of reported cases were 2187,the male-to-female ratio of cases was 1:1.42.Patients aged between 0 and 10 years accounted for 82.72%of all reported cases and the largest percentage of visceral leishmaniasis cases was detected among scattered children who accounted for 68.82%.The monthly incidences fitted by ARIMA(2,1,2)(1,1,1)12 model were consistent with the real data collected from 2004 to 2015.However,the predicted cases failed to comply with the observed case number;we then attempted to establish a hybrid ARIMA-EGARCH model to fit visceral leishmaniasis.Finally,the ARIMA(2,1,2)(1,1,1)12-EGARCH(1,1)model showed a good estimation when dealing with volatility clustering in the data series.Conclusions:The combined model has been determined as the best prediction model with the root-mean-square error(RMSE)of 7.23%in the validation phase,which means that this model has high validity and rationality and can be used for short-term prediction of visceral leishmaniasis and could be applied to the prevention and control of the disease. 展开更多

Objective:To determine an algorithm for molecular diagnosis of visceral leishmaniasis(VL)by kinetoplast DNA(kDNA)(RV1/RV2)and internal transcriber spacer(ITS1)(LITSR/L5.8 S)polymerase chain reaction(PCR),complemented by ITS 1 PCR restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP),using peripheral blood or bone marrow aspirate from patients with suspected VL.Methods:Biological samples were submitted to the gold standard for the diagnosis of VL and molecular diagnosis represented by ITS 1 PCR,kDNA PCR,and ITS 1 PCR RFLP.The samples were obtained from seven groups:groupⅠ,82 samples from patients with confirmed VL;groupⅡ,16 samples from patients under treatment for VL;groupⅢ,14 samples from dogs with canine visceral leishmaniasis(CVL);groupⅣ,a pool of six experimentally infected sandflies(Lutzomya longipalpis);group V,18 samples from patients with confirmed tegumentary leishmaniasis(TL)and groupsⅥandⅦwere from control groups without VL.Results:The following gold standard and molecular examination results were obtained for each of the seven groups:groupⅠ:parasitologic and immunochromatographic tests showed a sensitivity of 76.3%(61 of 80)and 68.8%(55 of 80),respectively,and a sensitivity of 97.6%(80 of 82)and 92.7%(76 of 82)by ITS1 and kDNA PCR,respectively.After ITS1 PCR RFLP(HaeⅢ)analysis of the 80 positive samples,52.5%(42 of 80)generated three fragments of 180,70,and 50 bp,corresponding to the pattern of Leishmania infantum infantum;groupⅡ:negative for the parasitologic methods and positive for IrK39(100%,16 of 16),presented 12.5%(2 of 16)of positivity by ITS 1 PCR and 25.0%(4 of 16)by kDNA PCR;groupⅢ:positive in the parasitologic and serologic tests(100%,14 of 14),presented 85.7%(12 of 14)of positivity by ITS1 PCR and kDNA PCR.ITS1 PCR RFLP showed that 83.3%(10 of 12)of the canine samples contained parasites with profiles similar to L.infantum;groupⅣpresented amplifications by ITS1 PCR and kDNA PCR.ITS1 PCR products were analyzed by RFLP,generating a profile similar to that of L.infantum;group� 展开更多

Background: Although visceral leishmaniasis(VL),a disease caused by parasites,is controlled in most provinces in China,it is still a serious public health problem and remains fundamentally uncontrolled in some northwest provinces and autonomous regions.The objective of this study is to explore the spatial and temporal characteristics of VL in Sichuan Province,Gansu Province and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China from 2004 to 2018 and to identify the risk areas for VL transmission.Methods:: Spatiotemporal models were applied to explore the spatio-temporal distribution characteristics of VL and the association between VL and meteorological factors in western China from 2004 to 2018.Geographic information of patients from the National Diseases Reporting Information System operated by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention was defined according to the address code from the surveillance data.Results: During our study period,nearly 90%of cases occurred in some counties in three western regions(Sichuan Province,Gansu Province and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region),and a significant spatial clustering pattern was observed.With our spatiotemporal model,the transmission risk,autoregressive risk and epidemic risk of these counties during our study period were also well predicted.The number of VL cases in three regions of western China concentrated on a few of counties.VL in Kashi Prefecture,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is still serious prevalent,and integrated control measures must be taken in different endemic areas.Conclusions: The number of VL cases in three regions of western China concentrated on a few of counties.VL in Kashi Prefecture,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is still serious prevalent,and integrated control measures must be taken in different endemic areas.Our findings will strengthen the VL control programme in China. 展开更多
