目的提高钛及钛合金的空间摩擦学性能,拓展钛及钛合金在空间技术领域的应用范围。方法用激光熔覆技术在纯钛基材表面制备了NiCrBSi/Ag复合涂层。用X-射线衍射仪、扫描电镜和高分辨透射电镜分析涂层的物相组成、显微组织结构和晶体结构... 目的提高钛及钛合金的空间摩擦学性能,拓展钛及钛合金在空间技术领域的应用范围。方法用激光熔覆技术在纯钛基材表面制备了NiCrBSi/Ag复合涂层。用X-射线衍射仪、扫描电镜和高分辨透射电镜分析涂层的物相组成、显微组织结构和晶体结构。用空间摩擦学实验系统对NiCrBSi/Ag复合涂层在真空、原子氧和紫外辐照三种模拟空间环境以及大气环境下的摩擦学性能进行系统的研究。采用扫描电镜和能量色散光谱仪对摩擦测试后NiCrBSi/Ag复合涂层的磨痕形貌和对偶不锈钢钢球的磨痕形貌及元素面分布进行分析。深入探讨NiCrBSi/Ag复合涂层在三种模拟空间环境及大气环境下的磨损机理。结果在纯钛基材表面通过激光熔覆制备的NiCrBSi/Ag复合涂层主要物相组成为NiTi、Ni3Ti、Cr2Ni3、Cr3Si、TiB2、Cr-Ni-Ti-Fe、Ag相,显微结构主要为等轴晶和枝状晶组织。复合涂层具有较高的显微硬度,涂层截面平均显微硬度约为830HV0.2,约是钛基材硬度的4.4倍。复合涂层在真空、原子氧和紫外辐照模拟空间环境下的摩擦系数和磨损率均小于大气环境下的值。在三种模拟空间环境下,相对于纯钛基材,复合涂层的磨损率约小2个数量级。复合涂层在真空、原子氧和紫外辐照模拟空间环境下的磨损机理为粘着磨损和磨粒磨损,在大气环境下的磨损机理主要为磨粒磨损。结论NiCrBSi/Ag复合涂层可以显著提高纯钛基材在真空、原子氧和紫外辐照三种模拟空间环境以及大气环境下的摩擦学性能。 展开更多

An Al–AlN core–shell structure is beneficial to the performance of Al–Al2O3 composites. In this paper, the phase evolution and microstructure of Al–Al2O3–TiO2 composites at high temperatures in flowing N2 were investigated after the Al–AlN core–shell structure was created at 853 K for 8 h. The results show that TiO2 can convert Al into Al3Ti(~1685 K), which reduces the content of metal Al and rearranges the structure of the composite. Under N2 conditions, Al3Ti is further transformed into a novelty non-oxide phase, TiCN. The transformation process can be expressed as follows: Al3Ti reacts with C and other carbides(Al4C3 and Al4O4C) to form TiCx(x < 1). As the firing temperature increases, Al3Ti transforms into a liquid phase and produces Ti(g) and TiO(g). Finally, Ti(g) and TiO(g) are nitrided and solid-dissolved into the TiCx crystals to form a TiCN solid solution. 展开更多

The use of iron ores bearing titanium as a raw material is an effective measure to prevent hearth erosion and prolong the life of a blast furnace.In this research,the effect of titanium content on the precipitation behaviors of high-melting phases of carbon-saturated molten pig iron were studied by confocal scanning laser microscopy.The results showed that,when the titanium content was less than 0.25wt%,Fe3C was precipitated as a single phase from the molten carbon-saturated iron.The growth rate of the precipitated Fe3C crystals was very high,reaching 7387μm2/s.When the titanium content in the molten pig iron was greater than 0.47wt%,TiC crystals precipitated first.The shape and size of the precipitated TiC crystals did not obviously change.After TiC was precipitated,the fluidity of the molten pig iron worsened.With a decrease in temperature,Fe3C was also precipitated but the growth rate of Fe3C was limited by the presence of the first precipitated TiC phase.The crystal size of the precipitated Fe3C was much smaller than that of pure Fe3C. 展开更多

随着石油化工行业的不断发展,我国对钛制换热器的需求量逐年增加。与其他材质换热器不同,钛换热器在焊接换热管与管板接头时,有严格的气体保护要求,对熔池及温度超过400℃的焊缝和热影响区都要进行惰性气体保护。在实际生产中,一般通过... 随着石油化工行业的不断发展,我国对钛制换热器的需求量逐年增加。与其他材质换热器不同,钛换热器在焊接换热管与管板接头时,有严格的气体保护要求,对熔池及温度超过400℃的焊缝和热影响区都要进行惰性气体保护。在实际生产中,一般通过给钨极加装保护气体喷嘴以及增加管板气体保护罩的形式实现。在整个管板焊接过程中,需要根据焊接位置不断移动管板气体保护罩,过程冗杂,生产效率低。利用ANSYS Workbench数值模拟软件,模拟钛管头焊接过程的温度场,以温度场分布为依据,优化传统气体保护措施。通过实际焊接检验可知,改进后的气体保护措施效果良好,可以应用于实际生产。 展开更多

The effect of pore size and porosity of Ti6Al4V scaffolds on MC3T3-E1 cells and tissue in rabbits

Electron beam melting(EBM) allows the fabrication of specific porous titanium implants, whereas their in vitro and in vivo biological performance should be further investigated. In this study, we examined the porous Ti6 Al4 V scaffolds(low, 334.1 μm pore size with 55.4% porosity;middle, 383.2 μm pore size with 65.2% porosity;and high, 401.6 μm pore size with 78.1%porosity) fabricated through EBM. The structural characterization and mechanical properties of porous Ti6 Al4 V scaffolds were measured through micro-computed tomography(micro-CT), scanning electron microscopy, and a material testing system.MC3 T3-E1 cells were used to assess the proliferation and differentiation of the cells on different scaffolds at day 7 and day 14 based on the expression levels of genes, including alkaline phosphatase, bone morphogenetic protein-2, osteopontin and runtrelated transcription factor-2. Rabbits with distal femoral defects were utilized to evaluate bone ingrowth in the porous titanium.All of the samples were subjected to micro-CT and histological analysis after 12 weeks. Results showed that compressive Young’s modulus of 0.3–1.1 GPa was similar to the trabecular bone. The three types of porous Ti6 Al4 V scaffolds were inclined to promote cell proliferation, whereas cell differentiation and bone ingrowth into the porous scaffolds were biased to the porous titanium with relatively large pores and porosity(middle and high). This study implied that the present porous implant design,which had the combined advantages of different pore sizes and porosity, might be meaningful and promising for trabecular bone defect restoration. 展开更多

Plasma-sprayed hydroxyapatite (HA) coatings have been widely utilized in load-bearing titanium alloy implants. In this study, Mg, Sr co-substituted HA ((Mg,Sr)-HA) nano-scale powders have been synthesized, which are further used to prepare (Mg,Sr)-HA coatings on Ti-6A1-4V alloys in order to improve the biological functions. The average size of (Mg,Sr)-HA nano particles is ~75nm. The average bonding strength for (Mg,Sr)-HA coating and samples after heat treatment at 500℃ or 600℃ for 3h are 26.17±2.11 MPa, 36.07±4.48 MPa and 37.07 ±2.95 MPa, respectively. There is a significantly increase of bonding strength likely due to low residual stress after heated treatment.MC3T3-E1 cells show a high proliferation rate when cultured with (Mg,Sr)-HA coating extract compared to the normal culture medium, which also exhibit large extension and depositi on of extracellular matrices when adhered on the coating surfaces. Thus, these (Mg,Sr)-HA coatings show high bonding strength and improved biological functions, which offer promising future applications in the fields of orthopedics and dentistry. 展开更多

Constructing two-scale network microstructure with nano-Ti5Si3 for superhigh creep resistance

The improvement of mechanical properties must be achieved by designing and constructing more suitable microstructure,such as hierarchical microstructure.In order to significantly enhance the creep resistance of titanium matrix composites(TMCs),two-scale network microstructure was constructed including the first-scale network(<150μm)with micro-TiB whisker(TiBw)reinforcement and the second-scale network(<30μm)with nano-Ti5Si3 reinforcement by powder metallurgy and in-situ synthesis.The results showed that the creep rate of the composite was remarkably reduced by an order of magnitude compared with the Ti6Al4V alloy at 550℃,600℃,650℃ under the stresses between 100 MPa and 350 MPa.Moreover,the rupture time of the composite was increased by 20 times,compared with that of the Ti6Al4 Valloy at 550℃/300 MPa.The superior creep resistance could be attributed to the hierarchical microstructure.The micro-TiBw reinforcement in the first-scale network boundary contributed to creep resistance primarily by blocking grain boundary sliding,while the nano-Ti5Si3 particle in the second-scale network boundary mainly by hindering phase boundary sliding.In addition,the nano-Ti5Si3 particle was dissolved,and precipitated with smaller size than the primary Ti5Si3.This phenomenon was attributed to Si element diffusion under high temperature and external stress,which could further continuously enhance the creep resistance.Finally,the creep rate during steady-state stage was significantly decreased,which manifested superior creep resistance of the composite. 展开更多

Experimental investigation and thermodynamic calculation were carried out to study the effect of slag on alloying elements during electroslag remelting with developing a thermodynamic model to control titanium and aluminum in in got.The thermodynamic model based on ion and molecule coexistence theory and conservation law of element atoms was established to analyze the change in aluminum and titanium along the height of ingot.The results show that low CaO slag is suitable for electroslag remelting of metal containing high titanium-to-aluminum ratio.As electroslag remelting process consists of slag temperature-rising and temperature-stable periods,TiO2 should be added into water-cooled copper mold during temperature-rising period in order to keep the thermodynamic equilibrium between titanium and aluminum,and the amount of TiO2 is the difference value calculated by the reaction between titanium and alumina at 1477 and 1677℃. 展开更多

This paper summarizes melting methods of titanium and titanium alloy, such as vacuum arc melting(VAR) and electron beam cold hearth melting(EBCHM), and the related inclusions formed when using these melting methods. Low-density inclusions are resulted from contamination of air, and high-density inclusions are caused by refractory elements. The formation process of inclusions was analysed. The removal mechanism of different kinds of inclusions was specified. Low-density inclusions are removed mainly by resolving. This is a comprehensive process containing reaction diffusion. The resolving rate of high-density inclusions is so low that these inclusions are mainly removed by sedimentation. The experiments and physical models of inclusions are detailed. In various melting methods, vacuum arc melting is prominent. However, this method cannot remove inclusions effectively, which usually results in repeat melting. Electron beam cold hearth melting has the best ability of removing inclusions. These results can provide instructions to researchers of titanium and titanium alloys. 展开更多

Porous titanium scaffold with suitable porous architecture exhibits enormous potentials for bone defect repairs.However,insufficient osteointegration and osteoinduction still remain to open as one of the major problems to achieve satisfactory therapeutic effect.To solve this problem,many studies have been carried out to improve the bioactivity of porous titanium scaff old by surface modifications.In this study,porous Ti6Al4V scaff olds were fabricated using additive manufacturing technique.Porous architectures were built up based on a diamond pore structure unit.Alkali–acid-heat(AH)treatment was applied to create a TiO2 layer on the porous Ti6Al4V scaff old(AH-porous Ti6Al4V).Subsequently,a hydrothermal treatment was employed to enable the formation of HA coating with nanopillar-like morphology on the alkali–acid-heat-treated surface(HT/AH-porous Ti6Al4V).The effects of surface modifications on apatite-forming ability,protein adsorption,cell attachment,cell proliferation and osteogenic gene expression were studied using apatite-forming ability test,protein adsorption assay and in vitro cell culture assay.It was found that the HT/AH-porous Ti6Al4V exhibited the highest apatite formation ability and best affinity to fibronectin and vitronectin.In vitro studies indicated that the mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)cultured on the HT/AH-porous Ti6Al4V presented improved adhesion and differentiation compared with the porous Ti6Al4V and AH-porous Ti6Al4V. 展开更多

通过对干扰元素和试剂加入量进行实验分析,建立了用硫酸铁铵滴定法测定铌钛铝基低密度铌合金中钛元素含量的方法,根据所用硫酸铁铵滴定溶液的体积计算样品中的钛含量。该方法钛元素含量加标回收率在98.48%~102.19%之间,RSD为0.37%。

The study aims to demonstrate the suitability of the 3DPMD for the production of titanium components with and without reinforcing particles in layer-by-layer design. Various demonstrators are prepared and analyzed. The microstructure, the porosity and the hardness values of the different structures are compared with each other through metallographic cross-sections. The uniform distribution of the carbides and the interaction with the matrix was analyzed by SEM and EDX.The miller-test method (ASTM G75-07) was used to determine data for the relative abrasivity of the structures. In summary, 3DPMD offers the possibility to produce titanium structures with and without reinforced particles. Using automated routines, it is possible to generate metal structures using welding robots directly from the CAD drawings. Microstructures and properties are directly related to the process and therefore material-process-property relationships are discussed within this work. 展开更多
