For the task clusterin... The formation of the manned aerial vehicle/unmanned aerial vehicle(MAV/UAV) task coalition is considered. To reduce the scale of the problem, the formation progress is divided into three phases. For the task clustering phase, the geographical position of tasks is taken into consideration and a cluster method is proposed. For the UAV allocation phase, the UAV requirement for both constrained and unconstrained resources is introduced, and a multi-objective optimal algorithm is proposed to solve the allocation problem. For the MAV allocation phase, the optimal model is firstly constructed and it is decomposed according to the ideal of greed to reduce the time complexity of the algorithm. Based on the above phases, the MAV/UAV task coalition formation method is proposed and the effectiveness and practicability are demonstrated by simulation examples. 展开更多

To solve the problem of distributed tasks-platforms scheduling in holonic command and control (C2) organization, the basic elements of the organization are analyzed firstly and the formal description of organizational elements and structure is provided. Based on the improvement of task execution quality, a single task resource scheduling model is established and the solving method based on the m-best algorithm is proposed. For the problem of tactical decision-holon cannot handle tasks with low priority effectively, a distributed resource scheduling collaboration mechanism based on platform pricing and a platform exchange mechanism based on resource capacities are designed. Finally, a series of experiments are designed to prove the effectiveness of these methods. The results show that the proposed distributed scheduling methods can realize the effective balance of platform resources. 展开更多

Research on a Task Planning Method for Multi-Ship Cooperative Driving

A new method for a cooperative multi-task allocation problem(CMTAP) is proposed in this paper,taking into account the multi-ship, multi-target, multi-task and multi-constraint characteristics in a multi-ship cooperative driving(MCD) system. On the basis of the general CMTAP model, an MCD task assignment model is established. Furthermore, a genetic ant colony hybrid algorithm(GACHA) is proposed for this model using constraints, including timing constraints, multi-ship collaboration constraints and ship capacity constraints. This algorithm uses a genetic algorithm(GA) based on a task sequence, while the crossover and mutation operators are based on similar tasks. In order to reduce the dependence of the GA on the initial population, an ant colony algorithm(ACA) is used to produce the initial population. In order to meet the environmental constraints of ship navigation, the results of the task allocation and path planning are combined to generate an MCD task planning scheme. The results of a simulated experiment using simulated data show that the proposed method can make the assignment more optimized on the basis of satisfying the task assignment constraints and the ship navigation environment constraints. Moreover, the experimental results using real data also indicate that the proposed method can find the optimal solution rapidly, and thus improve the task allocation efficiency. 展开更多

It is important to improve the development efficiency of decoupling a coupling task package according to the information relevancy relation between development tasks in the collaborative development process of complicated electronic products.In order to define the task coupling model in the development process,the weighted directed graph based on the information relevancy is established,and the correspondence between weighted directed graph model and numerical design structure matrix model of coupling tasks is introduced.The task coupling model is quantized,thereby the interactivity matrix of task package is built.A multi-goal task decoupling method based on improved genetic algorithm is proposed to decouple the task coupling model,which transforms the decoupling of task package into a multi-goal optimization issue.Then the improved genetic algorithm is used to solve the interactivity matrix of coupling tasks.Finally,the effectiveness of this decomposition method is proved by using the example of task package decoupling of collaborative development of a radar’s phased array antenna. 展开更多

Enhanced inhibitory control during re-engagement processing in badminton athletes:An event-related potential study

Purpose:The purpose of present study was to investigate the impact of sport experience on response inhibition and response re-engagement in expert badminton athletes during the stop-signal task and change-signal task.Methods:A total of 19 badminton athletes and 20 nonathletes performed both the stop-signal task and change-signal task.Reaction times(RTs)and event-related potentials were recorded and analyzed.Results:Behavioral results indicated that badminton athletes responded faster than nonathletes to go stimuli and to change signals,with faster change RTs and change-signal RTs,which take into consideration the variable stimulus onset time mean.During successful change trials in the change-signal task,the amplitudes of the event-related potential components N2 and P3 were smaller for badminton athletes than for nonathletes.Moreover,change-signal RTs and N2 amplitudes as well as change RTs and P3 amplitudes were significantly correlated in badminton athletes.A significant correlation was also found between the amplitude of the event-related potential component N1 and response accuracy to change signals in badminton athletes.Conclusion:Moderation of brain cortical activity in badminton athletes was more associated with their ability to rapidly inhibit a planned movement and re-engage with a new movement compared with nonathletes.The superior inhibitory control and more efficient neural mechanisms in badminton athletes compared with nonathletes might be a result of badminton athletes’ professional training experience. 展开更多

It is important to evaluate function behaviors and performance features of task scheduling algorithm in the multi-processor system.A novel dynamic measurement method(DMM)was proposed to measure the task scheduling algorithm's correctness and dependability.In a multi-processor system,task scheduling problem is represented by a combinatorial evaluation model,interactive Markov chain(IMC),and solution space of the algorithm with time and probability metrics is described by action-based continuous stochastic logic(aCSL).DMM derives a path by logging runtime scheduling actions and corresponding times.Through judging whether the derived path can be received by task scheduling IMC model,DMM analyses the correctness of algorithm.Through judging whe ther the actual values satisfy label function of the initial st ate,DMM analyses the dependability of algorthm.The simulation shows that DMM can effectively characterize the function behaviors and performance features of task scheduling algorithm. 展开更多

A variation-aware task mapping approach is proposed for a multi-core network-on-chips with redundant cores, which includes both the design-time mapping and run-time scheduling algorithms. Firstly, a design-time genetic task mapping algorithm is proposed during the design stage to generate multiple task mapping solutions which cover a maximum range of chips. Then, during the run, one optimal task mapping solution is selected. Additionally, logical cores are mapped to physically available cores. Both core asymmetry and topological changes are considered in the proposed approach. Experimental results show that the performance yield of the proposed approach is 96% on average, and the communication cost, power consumption and peak temperature are all optimized without loss of performance yield. 展开更多

An efficient task-scheduling algorithm in the Digital Array Radar(DAR) is essential to ensure that it can handle a large number of requested tasks simultaneously. As a solution to this problem, in this paper, we propose an optimization model for scheduling DAR tasks using a hybrid approach. The optimization model considers the internal task structure and the DAR task-scheduling characteristic. The hybrid approach integrates a particle swarm optimization algorithm with a genetic algorithm and a heuristic task-interleaving algorithm. We introduce the chaos theory to optimize initialized particles and use entropy theory to indicate the diversity of particles and adaptively adjust the inertia weight, the crossover probability, and the mutation probability. Then, we improve both the efficiency and global exploration ability of the hybrid algorithm. In the framework of the swarm exploration algorithm, we include a heuristic task-interleaving scheduling algorithm, which not only utilizes the wait interval to transmit or receive subtasks, but also overlaps the receive intervals of different tasks. In a large-scale simulation,we demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is more robust and effective than existing algorithms. 展开更多

Sex differences in cognition and their relationship to male mate choice

A number of studies have found positive correlations between male sexual signals and cognitive performance an d/or female pref ere nces for males with better cog nitive performance, although other studies have not fou nd these relati on ships. Sex roles can differ dramatically, and sex differen ces in selection on cog nition likely follow from the different tasks associated with these sex roles. Here, using threespine stickleback Gasterosteus aculeatus, a species with clearly diverge nt sex roles and mutual mate choice, we focus on the cognitive trait inhibitory control because males must differentially respond to reproductive females versus other sticklebacks while defending territories and refrain from eating eggs and fry while performing paternal care. We presented fish with a detour task four times over a period of 7 days, allowing us to assess initial inhibitory control and improvement over time. We ask 1) whether there are sex differences in inhibitory control and 2) whether male mate choice is associated with female inhibitory control. Although males outperformed females on three different measures of detour task performance across four trials, these differences were largely explained by males being less neophobic than females. Females took more trials to successfully solve the detour task, even after accounting for sex differences in neophobia. Female cognitive abilities, however, were unrelated to the vigor with which males courted them. The equivocal results regarding sex differences in cognitive ability suggest further study given the very different selection pressures each sex experiences. 展开更多
