Carbon nanofibers(CNFs)with excellent electric conductivity and high surface area have attracted immense research interests in supercapacitors.However,the macroscopic production of CNFs still remains a great challenge.Herein,ultrafine N–doped CNFs(N–CNFs)with a diameter of$20 nm are synthesized through a simple and scalable sol-gel method based on the self-assembly of phenolic resin and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide.When employed in aqueous supercapacitors,the obtained activated N–CNFs manifest a high gravimetric/areal capacitance(380 Fg-1/1.7 Fcm-2)as well as outstanding rate capability and cycling stability.Besides,the activated N–CNFs also demonstrate excellent capacitive performance(330 Fg-1)in flexible quasi-solid-state supercapacitors.The remarkable electrochemical performance as well as the easy and scalable synthesis makes the N–CNFs a highly promising electrode material for supercapacitors. 展开更多

Different types of nuclear parameters and corrosion behavior were deduced for carbon steel(AISI 1018),austenitic(304 SS),and duplex(2507 SS)stainless steel alloys.Three types of neutron energies as well as nine gamma ray energy lines(121.78-1407.92 keV)were used to evaluate the macroscopic neutron cross-sections(∑,cm^-1)and mass attenuation coefficients[σ,cm^2·g^-1)of gamma ray respectively.The corrosion behavior was investigated using different electrochemical techniques.The results showed that the stainless-steel alloys had a good attitude than that of carbon steel alloy for neutron and gamma ray parameters,especially the duplex stainless steel.The calculated values of mass attenuation coefficient using WinXcom computer program(Version 3.1),exhibited a very good agreement with the experimental values of that parameters.Moreover,the results indicated that duplex stainless-steel exhibited corrosion resistance higher than 304 SS and AISI 1018 steel alloys. 展开更多

Numerical simulation of the morphology of a droplet deposited on a solid surface requires an efficient description of the three-phase contact line. In this study, a simple method of implementing the contact angle is proposed, combined with a robust smoothed particle hydrodynamics multiphase algorithm (Zhang 2015). The first step of the method is the creation of the virtual liquid-gas interface across the solid surface by means of dummy particles, thus the calculated surface tension near the triple point serves to automatically modulate the dynarnic contact line towards the equilibrium state. We simulate the evolution process of initially square liquid lumps on fiat and curved surfaces. The predictions of droplet profiles are in good agreement with the analytical solutions provided that the macroscopic contact angle is accurately implemented. Compared to the normal correction method, the present method is straightforward without the need to manually alter the normal vectors. This study presents a robust algorithm capable of capturing the physics of the static welling. It may hold great potentials in bio-inspired superhydrophobic surfaces, oil displacement, microfluidics, ore floatation, etc. 展开更多

Infectious bursal disease(IBD)is an important contagious viral infection of immune system of poultry.This infection possesses a permanent threat to the profitability of poultry industry worldwide.The aim of this work was to modify the Taq Man-MGB real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(rRT-PCR)in one step involving two fluorogenic Taq Man labeled probe and using this protocol for detection of infectious bursal disease virus(IBDV)collected from suspected cases distributed in different regions of the country during the period 2013-2016.The intralaboratory validation of modified method was realized for specificity,linearity,repeatability,sensitivity and reproducibility.It allowed reducing the test running time by six folds.This method was applied on 102 pools of bursa of fabricius(BF)samples collected from affected broiler farms suspected to be infected by IBDV.Birds showing macroscopic lesions including muscle petechial hemorrhages,hypertrophy and hemorrhage of BF,were subjected to molecular analysis using modified protocol“Taq Man-MGB rRT-PCR”.The validation satisfied all criteria and the assay developed could be a useful tool for a very rapid diagnosis of IBDV and permit to detect and to discriminate in one-step very virulent(vv)from non-vv(classic and variant)IBDV strains.Out of 84 IBDV positive samples,a prevalence of 39%for vv strains and 61%for classical strains was noted.These results indicate that despite the vaccination against IBDV,the vv form of this pathologie continues to cause serious problems for Moroccan broiler chickens.The obtained results indicate the successfully detection of IBDV and differentiated all vvIBDV strains from non-vvIBDV strains;Avian infectious agent RNA viruses tested are negative,demonstrating great specificity of the assay.The results obtained indicate that this method is suitable as a routine laboratory test for the rapid detection and differentiation of IBDV strains in samples of avian origin. 展开更多

Wave propagation speeds and source term influences in single and integral porosity shallow water equations 预览

In urban flood modeling, so-called porosity shallow water equations (PSWEs), which conceptually account for unresolved structures, e.g.,buildings, are a promising approach to addressing high CPU times associated with state-of-the-art explicit numerical methods. The PSWE can beformulated with a single porosity term, referred to as the single porosity shallow water model (SP model), which accounts for both the reducedstorage in the cell and the reduced conveyance, or with two porosity terms: one accounting for the reduced storage in the cell and anotheraccounting for the reduced conveyance. The latter form is referred to as an integral or anisotropic porosity shallow water model (AP model). Theaim of this study was to analyze the differences in wave propagation speeds of the SP model and the AP model and the implications of numerical model results. First, augmented Roe-type solutions were used to assess the influence of the source terms appearing in both models. It is shown that different source terms have different influences on the stability of the models. Second, four computational test cases were presented and the numerical models were compared. It is observed in the eigenvalue-based analysis as well as in the computational test cases that the models converge if the conveyance porosity in the AP model is close to the storage porosity. If the porosity values differ significantly, the AP model yields different wave propagation speeds and numerical fluxes from those of the BP model.
