Characterization of a New DC-Glow Discharge Plasma Set-Up to Enhance the Electronic Circuits Performance 认领

The (DC-GDPAU) is a DC glow discharge plasma experiment that was designed, established, and operated in the Physics Department at Ain Shams University (Egypt). The aim of this experiment is to study and improve some properties of a printed circuit board (PCB) by exposing it to the plasma. The device consists of cylindrical discharge chamber with movable parallel circular copper electrodes (cathode and anode) fixed inside it. The distance between them is 12 cm. This plasma experiment works in a low-pressure range (0.15 - 0.70 Torr) for Ar gas with a maximum DC power supply of 200 W. The Paschen curves and electrical plasma parameters (current, volt, power, resistance) characterized to the plasma have been measured and calculated at each cm between the two electrodes. Besides, the electron temperature and ion density are obtained at different radial distances using a double Langmuir probe. The electron temperature (<em>KT<sub>e</sub></em>) was kept stable in range 6.58 to 10.44 eV;whereas the ion density (<em>ni</em>) was in range from 0.91 × 10<sup>10</sup> cm<sup><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&minus;</span>3</sup> to 1.79 × 10<sup>10</sup> cm<sup><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&minus;</span>3</sup>. A digital optical microscope (800×) was employed to draw a comparison between the pre-and after effect of exposure to plasma on the shaping of the circuit layout. The experimental results show that the electrical conductivity increased after plasma exposure, also an improvement in the adhesion force in the Cu foil surface. A significant increase in the conductivity can be directly related to the position of the sample surfaces as well as to the time of exposure. This shows the importance of the obtained results in developing the PCBs manufacturing that uses in different microelectronics devices like those onboard of space vehicles. 展开更多

Newer digital technologies for treatment adherence have been tested for diseases with chronic medication. A mobile application (Kill-TB) that provides reminder to TB patients through alarm was tested for its effectiveness and challenges under programmatic settings. Methods: A cohort of TB patients initiated on treatment with and without mobile application at Bangalore city during January-March 2019 was observed for missed doses during their treatment period. Results: A total of 694 patients (347 patients with and without mobile application) were enrolled for the study. Among the patients with and without mobile application 1) loss to follow-up was 2% and 8%, 2) non-adherence rate to TB treatment was 1.5 and 3.3 per 100 person-months, 3) treatment success rate was 89% and 81%. Conclusion: The TB drug reminder mobile application benefits the patient’s treatment adherence and paves way for improved treatment outcomes despite the challenges in implementation. The programme should leverage mobile technologies as an additional monitoring tool to achieve the target of End-TB by 2025. 展开更多

As the mimic biology becomes more and more important in the field of technology, superhydrophobic materials in the natural world have also become common. Superhydrophobic surfaces are used to prevent water droplets from wetting themselves which contain the micro- and nano-structures named hierarchical surfaces and exhibit the high water contact angles (WCA) that are greater than 150&#730;and perfect application foreground in both our daily lives and industry. In this work, we first discuss several surface properties and their numerical models. And then we list the surface properties of a variety of natural superhydrophobic surfaces and sum up their similarities and differences. The most recent strategies of how to apply natural superhydrophobic surfaces are also introduced within the past several years. In addition, we talk about the limitations of the current generation of superhydrophobic surfaces and prospects which looks for solutions to the problems. This review aims to enable researchers to learn more about the principles and mechanisms of superhydrophobicity and perceive the new methods for creating and modifying it. 展开更多

It can effectively reduce the potential risk of perforation and hemorrhage so that improving quality of life for patients. The technology has been widely used in clinic, especially in the treatment of digestive internal medicine, and in the course of respiratory intervention. Researchers have started to use the hybrid knife technique and have obtained good surgical results. In this review, we introduced the advantages of hybrid knife and summarized the clinic application, including the tumor excision and the tissue collection for pathology. Furthermore, the application of hybrid knife has significant implication to gastrointestinal and urinary diseases, and airway tumors, and we also explored the possibility of application of hybrid knife system in more diseases. The aim of this paper is to set up an efficient nonlinear application algorithm predictive model for a multi aircraft landing dynamic system called “Aircraft Landing Dynamic System, Release 2019<em>A</em><sup>+</sup> version “<em>AIRLADYS R</em>2019<em>A</em><sup>+</sup>”. This programming software combines dynamic programming technic for mathematical computing and optimisation run under AMPL and KNITRO Solver. It uses also a descriptive programming technic for software design. The user interfaces designed in Glade are saved as XML, and by using the GtkBuilder GTK+ object these can be loaded by applications dynamically as needed. By using GtkBuilder, Glade XML files can be used in numerous programming languages including C, C++, C#, Java, Perl, Python, AMPL, etc. Glade is Free Software released under the GNU GPL License. By these tools, the solved problem is a mathematical modelization problem as a non-convex optimal control governed by ordinary non-linear differential equations. The dynamic programming technic is applied because it is a sufficiently high order and it does not require computation of the partial derivatives of the aircraft dynamic. This application will be coded with Linux system on 64 bit operating system, but it can also be run on the windows system. High running performances are obtained with results giving feasible trajectories with a robust optimizing of the objective function. 展开更多

Development and implementation of pilgrims (Hajj) Guide application to be used at Hajj season would facilitate follow-up of campaign supervisors on their campaign’s safety and location. The systems would also allow Hajj and Umrah administration to manage the crowd of the campaigns in an easy manner. In this paper, we propose Android/iPhone application that allows Hajj administration to monitor pilgrims using Quick Response Codes. Using quick response code application allows campaign supervisors and Hajj and Umrah employees to monitor pilgrims and guide them in case of getting lost. The application offers an easier and faster service than traditional approach used at Hajj season by human guidance. It is a very convenient service that would relief stresses of pilgrim’s relatives who worry about their relatives performing Hajj. The results show that the average score of our approach (QR) is 4.72 out of 5 comparing with traditional mobile applications indicating that the users are feeling enjoyable while using the new application features and the system is easy to use. Finally, the systems would assist in achieving the highest degree of pilgrims safety at Hajj season. 展开更多

This paper proposes a parameterized nonlinear model-based predictive control (NMPC) strategy to tackle the oxygen excess ratio regulation challenge of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell. In practice, the most challenging part regarding NMPC strategies remains the on-line implementation. In fact, NMPC strategies, at least in their basic form, involve heavy computation to solve the optimization problem. In this work, a specific parameterization of control actions has been designed to address this limitation and achieve on-line implementation. To assess the effectiveness and relevance of the proposed strategy, the controller has been implemented on-line, experimentally validated on a real fuel cell and compared to the built-in controller. Performance of the parameterized NMPC controller in terms of setpoint tracking accuracy, disturbances rejection and computational cost, have tested under several control scenarios. Experimental results have shown the excellent tracking capability, disturbances rejection ability and low computational cost of the NMPC controller, regardless of the operating conditions. Moreover, compared to the built-in controller the proposed strategy has demonstrated better disturbances rejection capability. Overall, the proposed parameterized NMPC controller appears as an excellent candidate to address the oxygen excess ratio regulation issue. 展开更多

The nature of mobile environments differs from that of PC and server environments due to many factors, such as the network, energy, battery, and compatibility. Evaluating and predicting mobile application reliability are real challenges because of the diversity of the mobile environments in which the applications are used, and the lack of publicly available defect data. In addition, bug reports are optionally submitted by end-users. In this paper, we propose assessing and predicting the reliability of a mobile application using known software reliability growth models (SRGMs). Four software reliability models are used to evaluate the reliability of an open-source mobile application through analyzing bug reports. Our experiment proves it is possible to use SRGMs with defect data acquired from bug reports to assess and predict the software reliability in mobile applications. Moreover, that application gives children an opportunity to use their brain in order to recognize, the Quranic words in an innovative way, which will serve them in the knowledge about the Holy Quran. This paper will provide some insights on the application of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) in process tomography. The focus of this paper will be to investigate the performance of the technology with respect to various tomography systems and comparison to other similar technologies including the Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC), Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and the microcontroller. Fundamentally, the FPGA is primarily used in the Data Acquisition System (DAQ) due to its better performance and better trade-off as compared to competitor technologies.
