Preparation of Polyimide Fiber/ Thermoplastic Resin Composites with Improved Mechanical Properties 预览

As a high-performance material for preparing composite materials, polyimide fibers suffer from many potential drawbacks, including poor bonding with other substrates, which results in composite materials with poor mechanical properties. Therefore, this study proposed a simple and rapid technique for obtaining loose, porous polyimide fiber papers by implementing a wet method using equal amounts of polyimide fiber and polyimide fiber paper as reinforcements, respectively. The polyimide resin-based composite materials were prepared by hand lay-up and hot pressing. The results showed that the paper-based reinforcement exhibited high porosity and the fibers were arranged with a uniform pore size distribution. The tensile properties, bending performance, and interlaminar shear performance of the paper-based composite improved by 130%, 108%, and 34.5%, respectively, compared to those of the fiberbased counterpart. The factors affecting the mechanical properties of the composites were analyzed based on the fiber length, fiber beating or lack thereof, and the basis weight of the paper. The increased uniformity of the polyimide fiber paper changed the ordering of the fibers and resolved drawbacks such as difficult dispersion, uneven pore size distribution, and poor mechanical properties related to single fibers in the resin-based composite material. 展开更多

With the development of solar radio spectrometer, it is difficult to process a large number of observed data quickly by manual detection method. Yunnan astronomical observatories (YNAO) have two solar radio spectrometers with high time and frequency resolution. An automatic detection method of solar radio burst for decimetric and metric data of YNAO is proposed in this paper. The duration of solar radio burst was counted and analyzed. Channel normalization was used to denoise the original solar radio image. Through experimental comparison, Otsu method was selected as a binary method of solar radio spectrum, and open and close operations were used to smooth the binary image. Experiments show that the proposed method for automatic detection of solar radio bursts is effective. 展开更多

We study the phase structure of QCD matter in the framework of a multiphase transport model by implementing a strong local parton density fluctuation scenario. Our calculations on the beam energy dependence of net-proton high moment show that local parton density fluctuation only has a small effect. But it becomes important when all baryons are included. We then study the effect on elliptic flow and find that an enhanced local parton density fluctuation leads to a significant effect on protons but a small effect on pions. Our study provides a reference of transport dynamics on QCD phase transition phenomena and will be relevant for the upcoming phase II of the beam energy scan program at RHIC. 展开更多

Purpose: This paper aims to investigate the scientific productivity of China’s science system.Design/methodology/approach: This paper employs the Malmquist productivity index (MPI) based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA).Findings: The results reveal that the overall efficiency of Chinese universities increased significantly from 2009 to 2016, which is mainly driven by technological progress. From the perspective of the functions of higher education, research and transfer activities perform better than the teaching activities.Research limitations: As an implication, the indicator selection mechanism, investigation period and the MPI model can be further extended in the future research.Practical implications: The results indicate that Chinese education administrative departments should take actions to guide and promote the teaching activities and formulate reasonable resource allocation regulations to reach the balanced development in Chinese universities.Originality/value: This paper selects 58 Chinese universities and conducts a quantified measurement during the period 2009-2016. Three main functional activities of universities (i.e. teaching, researching, and application) are innovatively categorized into different schemes, and we calculate their performance, respectively. 展开更多

The application of air conditioning heat pump(ACHP) in electric vehicles could lead to significant electrical power saving effect. As for an air conditioning heat pump system for electric vehicles, the influence of refrigerant charge amount should be investigated during the design phase. In this study, experimental method was employed to investigate the influence of the refrigerant charge amount on the performance of the ACHP system. The results showed that the refrigerant charge amount had different influence on the refrigerant properties at various locations within the system. The coefficient of performance and pressure-enthalpy diagram were calculated, and showed a close relationship with refrigerant charge amount under different compressor speeds. The degree of subcooling and the degree of superheating were recorded and the critical charge amount was determined by a typical practical test method. In addition, the critical refrigerant charge amount determined by the experimental method was also compared with two typical void fraction correlation models, and the model with consideration of two phase stream reaction of the refrigerant showed a good estimation accuracy on the critical charge amount. 展开更多

The structures of new compounds were determined in the light of spectroscopic data,X-ray and ECD calculation. Compounds 1 and 3 are racemates, while compound 2 is optically pure.Compounds 1 and 4 showed antibacterial and antifungal activities against Staphylococcus aureus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Clostridium perfringens, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans with MIC values ranging from 8 μg/mL to 64 μg/mL. 展开更多

[Objectives]The effects of"Glimmer"treatment on dry matter accumulation,yield and cadmium accumulation in different types of rice varieties were investigated,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the regulation of low cadmium accumulation in rice grains.[Methods]Under the treatment of cadmium contaminated soil with a concentration of 0.58 mg/kg,the effects of"Glimmer"treatment on dry matter accumulation,yield and cadmium content of different rice varieties were studied by pot experiment.[Results]Spraying"Glimmer"can increase the biological yield of rice,and the different types of rice showed the order of conventional rice>two-line hybrid rice>three-line hybrid rice.Among the conventional rice,most significant increase was observed in Huanghuazhan,and in two-line hybrid rice,C Liangyou 651 increased the most.The"Glimmer"treatment had an obvious yield increasing effect on conventional rice,among which such two varieties as Xiangwanxian 13 and Huanghuazhan had the largest increases,followed by the two-line hybrid rice,and a little effect was observed on the three-line hybrid rice.The"Glimmer"treatment resulted in a significant reduction in cadmium content in different types of rice,which decreased by 13.33%-26.09%,and seven varieties showed a reduction over 21.74%.[Conclusions]The"Glimmer"treatment can significantly reduce the cadmium content in rice,and generally promote the dry matter accumulation and yield increase of rice,of which conventional rice performed better. 展开更多

Tyrosine phosphatase SHP2 is a promising drug target in cancer immunotherapy due to its bidirectional role in both tumor growth promotion and T-cell inactivation. Its allosteric inhibitor SHP099 is known to inhibit cancer cell growth both in vitro and in vivo. However, whether SHP099-mediated SHP2 inhibition retards tumor growth in vivo via anti-tumor immunity remains elusive. To address this, a CT-26 colon cancer xenograft model was established in mice since this cell line is insensitive to SHP099.Consequently, SHP099 minimally affected CT-26 tumor growth in immuno-deficient nude mice, but significantly decreased the tumor burden in CT-26 tumor-bearing mice with intact immune system.SHP099 augmented anti-tumor immunity, as shown by the elevated proportion of CD8tIFN-γtT cells and the upregulation of cytotoxic T-cell related genes including Granzyme B andPerforin, which decreased the tumor load. In addition, tumor growth in mice with SHP2-deficient T-cells was markedly slowed down because of enhanced anti-tumor responses. Finally, the combination of SHP099 and antiPD-1 antibody showed a higher therapeutic efficacy than either monotherapy in controlling tumor growthin two colon cancer xenograft models, indicating that these agents complement each other. Our study suggests that SHP2 inhibitor SHP099 is a promising candidate drug for cancer immunotherapy. 展开更多

Study on Working Pairs of Sorption Type Air Conditioner for Electric Vehicles under Different Temperature Zones

The air conditioning(AC) system of electric vehicles(EVs) consumes a large part of electricity of on-board batteries and influences the continue voyage course seriously. The feasibility of sorption type AC for EVs has been verified theoretically to decrease this part of energy consumption. However, the choice of optimal working pairs based on local working conditions is not considered before, which can realize not only high efficiency but also the steady and reliable operation. Thus in this paper, different solid sorption working pairs used in sorption type AC under different temperature zones are studied. We utilized Rubotherm balance test unit to study the sorption properties of various working pairs(halide-ammonia) and selected candidate working pairs by Clapeyron equation and energy analysis. Results show that MnCl2 is the only choice for cold temperate zone(CTZ) and CaCl2 is optimal for warm temperate zone(WTZ), while the mixed double halide(MnCl2 and CaCl2) is recommended in other zones. In middle temperate zone(MTZ), the probability for performance dropping down is relatively large, thus the ratio(CaCl2:Mn Cl2) is recommended as 0.33–1 to take advantage of the stability property of MnCl2. While in Qinghai-Tibet plateau cold area(QTPCA, the special temperature zone in China), the ratio is chosen as 2–3 because only under the limiting condition reaction [Ca(NH3)8]Cl2 (←→) [Ca(NH3)4]Cl2 +4NH3 is invalid. Because the continued high environmental temperature will increase the probability of limiting condition, ratio of subtropical zone(STZ) is still selected as 2–3 while that of tropical Zone(TZ) is 1–2. Taking WTZ under summer condition as example, by using sorption type AC with CaCl2 as sorbent, the increment voyage course(IVC) over the practical voyage course with conventional compression AC system(PVC) ranges from 9.4% to 37.7% for different type of EVs, i.e. the continue voyage course is increased effectively. The Q gene in common wheat encodes an APETALA2(AP2)transcription factor that causes the free threshing attribute.Wheat spikelets bearing several florets are subtended by a pair of soft glumes that allow free liberation of seeds.In wild species,the glumes are tough and rigid,making threshing difficult.However,the nature of these“soft glumes”,caused by the domestication allele Q is not clear.Here,we found that over expression of Q in common wheat leads to homeotic florets at glume positions.We provide phenotypic,microscopy,and marker genes evidence to demonstrate that the soft glumes of common wheat are in fact lemma-like organs,or so-called sterile-lemmas.By comparing the structures subtending spikelets in wheat and other crops such as rice and maize,we found that AP2 genes may play conserved functions in grasses bymanipulating vestigial structures,such as floret-derived soft glumes in wheat and empty glumes in rice.Conversion of these seemingly vegetative organs to reproductive organs may be useful in yield improvement of crop species. 展开更多

A novel method for suppress!ng Li dendrites via using Li phosphorous oxynitride (UPON) modified Li anode and Li1.5Al0.5Ge1.5(PO4)3-poly(ethylene oxide)(Li bistrifluoromethane-sulfonimide)(LAGP-PEO(LiTFSI)) composite solid electrolyte in all-solid-state Li battery is proposed, and the effect of the thickness of UPON on Li anode performarice is also studied. LiPON film with a thickness of 500 nm exhibits satisfactory interface property between Li metal anode and the LAGP-PEO(LiTFSI) solid electrolyte. The LiPON film provides a uniform Li^+ flux across the interface and effectively inhibits the formation of Li dendrites in all-solid-state Li batteries. The assembled all-solid-state Li cell Li(LiPON)/LAGP-PEO(LiTFSI)/LiFePO4 delivers an initial discharge capacity of 152.4 mAh·g^-1 and exhibits good cycling stability and rate performanee at 50 ℃. 展开更多

We obtained the displacement and deformation caused by the 2015 Nepal MS8. 1 earthquake adopting the finite element method,and analyzed the displacement and deformation characteristics and effect of three large earthquakes on seismic activity in the Qinghai-Tibetan block. Our primary results suggest southward movement of the QinghaiTibetan block is caused by a large earthquake occurring on thrust fault in the Himalayan zone,the displacement direction is reverse to the background displacement. The occurrence of these large earthquakes will result in stress unloading and earthquake activity will be weakened in stress unloading areas. Through the simulation results,we can detect the distribution area of stress loading and unloading caused by large earthquakes.Simultaneously,it provides a fundamental evidence for determination of earthquake activity trend. 展开更多

Sheath blight(SB)caused by the soil borne pathogen Rhizoctonia solani is one of the most serious global rice diseases.Breeding resistant cultivar is the most economical and effective strategy to control the disease.However,no rice varieties are completely resistant to SB,and only a few reliable quantitative trait loci(QTLs)linked with SB resistance have been identified to date.In this study,we conducted a genome-wide association study(GWAS)of SB resistance using 299 varieties from the rice diversity panel 1(RDP1)that were genotyped using 44 000 high-density single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers.Through artificial inoculation,we found that only 36.5%of the tested varieties displayed resistance or moderate resistance to SB.In particular,the aromatic and aus sub-populations displayed higher SB resistance than the tropical japonica(TRJ),indica and temperate japonica sub-populations.Seven varieties showed similar resistance levels to the resistant control YSBR1.GWAS identified at least 11 SNP loci significantly associated with SB resistance in the three independent trials,leading to the identification of two reliable QTLs,qSB-3 and qSB-6,on chromosomes 3 and 6.Using favorable alleles or haplotypes of significantly associated SNP loci,we estimated that both QTLs had obvious effects on reducing SB disease severity and can be used for enhancing SB resistance,especially in improving SB resistance of TRJ sub-population rice varieties.These results provided important information and genetic materials for developing SB resistant varieties through breeding. 展开更多

Stimulatory regulators for DNA methyltransferase activity,such as Dnmt3L and some Dnmt3b isoforms,affect DNA methylation patterns,thereby maintaining gene body methylation and maternal methylation imprinting,as well as the methylation landscape of pluripotent cells.Here we show that metastasis-related methyltransferase 1(Merm1),a protein deleted in individuals with Williams-Beuren syndrome,acts as a repressive regulator of Dnmt3a.Merm1 interacts with Dnmt3a and represses its methyltransferase activity with the requirement of the binding motif for S-adenosyl-L-methionine.Functional analysis of gene regulation revealed that Merm1 is capable of maintaining hypomethylated rRNA gene bodies and co-localizes with RNA polymerase I in the nucleolus.Dnmt3a recruits Merml,and in return,Merml ensures the binding of Dnmt3a to hypomethylated gene bodies.Such interplay between Dnmt3a and Merml facilitates transcriptional elongation by RNA polymerase I.Our findings reveal a repressive factor for Dnmt3a and uncover a molecular mechanism underlying transcriptional elongation of rRNA genes. 展开更多
