强海杂波下PM波形和LFM波形的性能评价方法

Performance Evaluation for PM Waveform and LFM Waveform in Heavy Sea Clutter

摘要 在应用调相(PM)波形设计对强海杂波环境下海面低速运动小目标检测过程中,存在性能改善与系统资源消耗的矛盾,提出了PM信号和LFM信号的性能评价因子,并给出了该因子的计算方法。根据该性能评价因子,可以设置一个PM信号使用的门限值,进而利用LFM信号替换部分PM信号,从而避免了大量不必要的PM信号设计过程,更好地保证了PM信号设计对目标检测性能改善和系统资源消耗的平衡,在保证检测性能基本不变的前提下节省大量的系统资源。 During the application of Phase-Modulated ( PM) waveform design in the detection of slow moving target in heavy sea clutter, there is a contradiction between the target detection improvements and system resource. A performance evaluation for PM and LFM waveform are proposed, and its computing method is given. According to this factor, a threshold is set, much PM waveform can be replace by LFM waveform, and then abundant unnecessary PM waveform design processes can be prevented. The balance of radar system resource and performance improvement in PM waveform design can be ensured well. A lot of radar system resource can be saved with almost identical performance improvements.
