The effects of silver recovery by high temperature graphite reduction, formaldehyde reduction and zinc powder replacement were investigated. Different experimental methods were analyzed. The recovery rates of silver by high temperature graphite reduction, formaldehyde reduction and zinc powder replacement were 99.3%, 98.7% and 90.5%, respectively. Graphite reduction at high temperature has the advantages of high recovery rate of silver, short reaction time, high experimental safety,no harmful gases and other characteristics. It is worth adopting. At the same time, the preparation process of silver permanganate was discussed and satisfactory results were obtained.
