The effects of resin type (novel formaldehyde-free resin vs MDI), dosage, and hot-pressing factor on properties of PB were discussed. The results indicated that the novel formaldehyderesin was technically and economically feasible to produce formaldehyde-free PB at the industrial conditions. The success on the resin development would provide an effective solution for the PB industries to open diversified market needs and stay competitive.
