The Competency Model of Deans in Comprehensive Universities

摘要 目的构建大学学院院长胜任特征模型,并对模型进行检验。方法研究在文献检索与分析的基础上,运用行为事例访谈技术,访谈11名综合性大学的学院院长,构建了大学学院院长胜任特征模型。结果初步分析得出由19项胜任特征指标,分别为自信、自我控制、灵活性、批判性、培养他人、成就导向、创新能力、目标设定、执行力、概念式思考、分析式思考、影响能力、判断能力、信息搜集、自我提升、交往能力、组织献身精神、远见、团队工作;并可以将这19项胜任特征归纳概括为个性特征、人际特征、成就特征、管理特征、职业发展特征五个特征群。结论本研究提出的大学学院院长胜任特征模型信效度良好。 Objective To construct the Competency Model of deans in comprehensive universities. Methods The research interviewed 11 deans with the literature and analysis based on the use of behavioral event interview. And via the help of the literature search and analysis,we collected the data which were used to build the competency model of deans in university. Results The model consists of 19 indicators. These indicators are self-confidence,self-control,flexibility,critical thinking,training others,achievement orientation,innovation,goal setting,execution,conceptual thinking,analytic thinking,influencing,skills,judgment capacity,information gathering,self-improvement,and communication capability,the spirit of dedication to teams,long-term perspective,and team cooperation. The competency model of university deans can be divided into five competency characteristics. Conclusion the Competency Model of deans in comprehensive universities has a good reliability and validity.
