The Nobel Prize for Literature in 2015 was awarded to Ms. Svetlana Alexievich(1948-), a Ukraine-born Belarusian writer. The prize-winning of this writer with such complex identity has attracted great concerns from the international community. It has aroused heated debates in relevant countries such as Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. These debates mainly focus on the complexity of the writer's identity and contents of these interviews (the Soviet Union and its heritage), in addition to this non-Russian writer's judgements about the Soviet Union issues conveyed by such kind of writings. What is more important is that the award-winning and related effects concur with the fact that Ukraine was determined to get out of Russia in 2013 and Belarus began vigorously to advocate adopting its national language in 2014. Objectively speaking, this has realized the goal of the Nobel Prize for Literature, guiding the world to care about the important issues narrated by award-winning writers and the aesthetic value of narratives. For thousands of years, actually Belarusian writers have created their own literature different from that of Russians, which has gained the attention of global readers thereafter.
