Objective： To evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of Combination treatment with chemical peeling and intense pulsed light （IPL） in patients with PIH of aene. Methods： Glyeolic acid peeling and IPL were used alternatively on the face of acne patients with PIH at the time interval of two weeks, including four series chemical peelings and four times IPL treatments. The changes of skin physiological parameters were measured by non-invasive instruments and image analysis before and after the treatment. Results： The L value was significantly increased after three treatments（P〈 0.05）. The a value was significantly reduced after one treatment（P〈 0.05）. The skin water content was significantly increased after three treatments（P〈 0.05）. There was no significant difference on sebum and TEWL before and after treatments. No severe treatment related adverse effects occurred. Conclusion： This combination treatment procedure can be used safely and effectively in acne 13atients with PIH.
