Polysaccharides was extracted from tremella fuciformis by hot water extraction. The optimum conditions for the extraction were obtained by using orthogonal experimental design L9 （34）. Results showed that, the extraction temperature is 90℃, ratio of raw material to water is 1 ： 50, time for extraction is 6 h, pH value is kept at 9. The anti - oxidizing capacity of the polysaccharide product was measured by crystal violet method. The moisturizing capacity of the polysaccharide product was measured by in - vivo mean moisture value determination and in -vivo transepidermal water loss determination, as well as in -vitro water loss determination. Results comparison with other moisturizing products showed that the tremella fuciformis polysaccharide has good moisturizing capacity and certain anti -oxidizing capacity.
